Mercenary

Neutral Support

Day Ability: Connections - You will be occupy immune tonight (3 Uses)

Night Ability 1: Stand guard - Prevent visits to target player. Cannot target the same player twice in a row (Unlimited)
Night Ability 2: Rebound - Use target player’s ability on themselves. Does not give any associated feedback (2 Uses)
goal: Have the Unseen/Cult lose

Sellsword :shield:

Neutral Support

Day Ability: Connections - You will be occupy immune tonight (3 Uses)

Night Ability 1: Stand guard - Prevent visits from non-killing ability’s to target player (1 night cooldown)
Night Ability 2: Combat - Occupy target player (Unlimited)
goal: Have the Blue Dragon lose

I would personally like to see merc being able to choose which faction to help. Maybe make merc start with a day ability that lets her choose a side, and she turns into either Mercenary or Sellsword depending on what she chooses, but she can’t use any abilities until she picks one and if she dies before picking a side she immediately loses.

I feel that this change is so drastic and is totally changing what the idea of the mercenary is. Mercenary is someone that is contracted to a player or a 2 players from before not against a whole group of people. Not objecting to the class idea but the name of the class should be changed in that it is not the mercenary. Same thing with sellsword even though it currently does not exist anymore in TOL. So basically change the class names other than merc and sellsword. Mercenary and Sellsword for these class names.

Point number 2!

Just like the sorc these classes should LIVE to see the BD (sellsword) and Unseen / Cult (mercenary) fall. Mercenary would be so easy to win otherwise, which contributes no skill to the game. If they have to stay alive they have to deduce a way for them to help BD or Scum but have to avoid being killed. Makes it more skill based which as a neutral you need to have to win.

If Mercs were given the choice, logically they would all choose to become a Mercenary because statistically speaking, you’re more likely to win that way

I would like to point out that the core idea was something Boslof came up with. I am just fleshing out the details.

Oh no - not a good idea.
The standard of survivability for a class that just needs to survive is the Alchemist…
and that one is very strong and has limited Night Immunity.
Giving them the order to survive would make them too powerful.

its a not a good for merc to live to see DB win, since one its abilities allow the Merc to give his life for a member of the BD.

Let,s say me Prince, and you merc, you shield me, I am attacked, your suggestion would make you lose when you made a good decision.
