[FM] Clown Fiesta Mafia - N7 - Scumciety and Dr. Bright win!

Disagree. Games where egregious mistakes are made might be better for learning than games where everyone played well.

i mean i didnt do anything important. im generally weak with reads (something to work on but i dont think ill get much better any time soon) and there were no serious mechanical plays/revelations to be had, so :man_shrugging:
had i had more time to work with kyo im sure i could have done something

If that was true quality of game play would have increased dramatically by now because the same repetitive mistakes keep getting made. It’s more that it’s a bastard game and therefore people will put less effort into it

yea, but that was just too passive for my liking

i knew there wasnt much mechanical stuff to do and my role literally has no real mechanical info so i had to use reactions or my gut to make reads in order for my role to be of any use so i guess i was a bit more aggressive tbis game than others

That would just mean people are unable to learn from any games, which is unfortunate if true.

And I think effort wise it was same as any other game with this post count would be, excluding folks like Kyo who had a weird rolecard early on and trolled, for example.

@Geyde i actually really liked my role bc it was fun to control two slots bc i could do way more than just double voting (albeit a lot harder) and it forced me to be more proactive and im not sure if i wouldnt just fall back onto mechanical info as a crutch had i gotten a different role so thanks for that

Actually I change my mind

You are probably right, it’s just that people don’t put enough effort into changing anything they do so they keep doing the same mistakes.

Oh so BenShapiro was your alt?

geyde created him specifically for this game

Thats an interesting mechanic

I get really mad when I discuss effort in mafia and I don’t know why. I’m a hypocrite, because I haven’t tried in the last two mafia games that much, but for some reason mafia ignited my passion again which started me to want to try more here. Which causes me to actually think about the game a lot more and to get more triggered at people’s actions

it’s a negative repeating cycle

i mean sure im not saying you should have played differently.
also who says i use my own role for mechanical stuff? im good at interpreting others stuff and using that.

i guess, and i know this is weird to say, but i think perhaps i read mechanics like some of yall make reads on people here, you know? i sort of learn how they work from a select group, and i can get a feel for what sorts of things can happen, even in a bastard game such as this. like, as geyde said in dead chat, he didnt really outright lie that much, and did bastard stuff like mod interaction and your role instead. this matched the feel i was getting from him and how he was acting in my rolechat.

also can i say im glad i didnt get your role? yall would have seen through it almost instantly were it me i think
…although i could set it up so that i could have both people on and replying at the same time

yeah, i loved trying to see how ppl would react to ben then react to me

i could’ve also set up something risky but like there was already so much chaos going on so early with Jake and stuff that i decided that it wasn’t worth it and would be coutnerintuitive

I did something similar in a mash in MU.

A wolf had access to a puppet account. Thing is the puppet account had a 5 ITAs per day and also had 4 ITA shields and could not be lynched, so it was kind of used as a glorified gun for them.

Thanks for this

Sounds like a beautiful power trip

what made it balanced

were they allowed to mock the villagers on the alt

If the wolf controlling it died, then the NPC also died with them. So basically, rather than outright shooting it you had to find the controller.

Oh, and if the NPC survived to D5 then it’d blow up and kill up to 5 villagers with it, so you better hope the wolf controlling it is in the PoE.

Wait are you serious?

r u datbird or bluestorm?

datbird, right
