ACTUALLY, I just figured a third possiblity for the Solic kill: wolves killed Solic because he was highposting and they needed to control the thread, regardless of whether his reads were correct or not (because sooner or later, leave a top posting villager around and they will end up being right about crucial things)

I think this one could actually fit as a sensible reason.

Marshal was 100% angeled by at least one person, so presumably the strongmen that the wolves almost certainly have were occupied doing something else or they saw Marshal as not being as much of a threat as solic.

it then follows that if solic’s a wolf kill then he was killed for multiple reasons- he was posting a shit ton and the wolves saw that level of posting as a threat to their own thread control.
