This type of anti-town play doesn’t even come from people who have played only ToS
Preliminary even disregarding my reads on anyone in PoE, we can probably exclude the existence of teams:
Dabu/gorta (from Dabu’s push and parked vote EoD1)
Dabu/Derps (should be entirely obvious, and this one I can say with absolute certainty and I don’t think anyone will disagree).
I am going to read stuff later today, but I very much doubt my reads on Dabu and Derps could change in any manner (and both are very substantial townreads for me).
Way I look at the game now, there are 2 worlds:
Unlikely one: 1 wolf in Derps/Dabu and 1 wolf in Mode/gorta/Light
Likely one: 0 wolf in Derps/Dabu and 2 wolves in Mode/gorta/Light.
Honestly the alright idea feels like nuking the entire trio Mode/gorta/Light in whatever order.
If 2nd world is correct, we just win the game.
In 1st world we get f3 with something like sulit/Derps/Dabu lol, and gl to sulit then.
But honestly it’s hard to imagine something like this.
(part of the reason I posted pairings impossible with Dabu is so that Kyo has another logical reason to believe Dabu’s scum equity is low and doesn’t shoot him)
Obv the one who fits the most teams is more likely scum.
Summary
Look at this post and tell me it’s Dabu distancing.
Like, come on. But let’s save he’s ridiculous enough for that.
Sure, he stopped pushing Ami, but I frankly find it nearly impossible to believe that’s what Dabu does the very first thing during the day. Clearly he isn’t afraid of pushing townies if he’s a wolf, and does he even know the concept of distancing in the first place?
The amount of madness required for Dabu to be a wolf is much higher than required for him to be a villager.
Also - would you say he would reveal his team then in the last post I quoted?
I think AT THE VERY LEAST I think it should be agreeable to exclude Mode/Dabu as the scum team.
Which is 3 teams not possible for Dabu already.
And the last thing technically possible which is remaining is Dabu/Light.
(and in that world we kill Light first.)
But teams or no teams, Dabu pushing Ami for claim right off the bat and using reasoning like flavor to suspect them???

This sort of dismissive attitude of Kyo’s push on Derps sound more like TMI that Derps is a villager to me tbh. (yeah, I know, maybe confbias, but still)
It’s pretty much the first thing Ami does, and it’s to defend Derps.
Ami just entered the thread, she needs to make herself look townie.
I don’t think defending their buddy (who’d they perceive as wolfy) on flimsy reason would be the thing that Ami would do.
In Ami’s eyes, that’d be completely terrible and a blatant association.
But whiteknighting a villager? Yeah, that’s what scum would do, as wolves see that as super safe and “villagery”. And consistent with Ami’s play, Ami didn’t play this game guns blazing powerwolfing, really. They indeed just tried to make some towny reads and just existed.
The actual truth is that wolves don’t want you to hit a town either, because they don’t want PoE to get more narrow.
Killing town in PoE is strictly +EV, because we are at even number of people and it won’t reduce amount of lynches we have (you can do the math).
So you are not forced to WIFOM or anything. Just shoot in PoE.
But not Dabu, please. And not Derps.
I’m not even giving you a definitive specific target either way, I just would feel really bad if you kill Dabu, as it won’t progress the solve for me.

This is also read a wolf makes on someone they perceive to be just way too towny for them to approach in any other manner, but w/e, I think my read on Dabu is already pretty clear.
This could in theory be the most primitive way to set up a chain of mislynches, but I wouldn’t count on it.
Interesting how they voice a stronger suspicion on V!Wazza but aren’t shy to prefer lynching Light despite liking them more?
If Ami knows both Light and Wazza are villagers, Wazza is vastly more wolfy villager. So that’s a little strange take.
Imo consistent with Light being partner. (awkward way to handle Light slot)
I don’t think Ami said anything of any substance about gorta or Mode, so… Nothing to remove these possibilities.
And yeah, I really don’t get the feel Ami approached this game with powerwolfing mindset. Don’t think they were super motivated.
