Spews from town are not the best thing to read from since by their nature they’re uninformed/cannot spew. I’d look at Marshal, because some of his reasons on her were very reachy and the only reason I like them is because of my pure burning hatred for the way Priestess is playing. Also look at people whiteknighting her.

I think arete provides good associations. as i’ve explained before.
But i also forgot how megabullshit everything presitess has posted has been…
and i honestly think both have good chances at being scum.
most people seem to use mechanics like meta reads. they take information from the past about what goes where and how things fit together, and apply that to the current games.
i do not do this.
assuming things from previous games that are not very basic things (like, there is an uninformed majority and an informed minority-level basic) is a step in the wrong direction.
you take evidence from the current game and from previous knowledge of the host
not for things they do, but styles. are they the type to just have a consistent mechanical theme throughout, are they the type to do that but have a couple of roles to circumvent it to keep people guessing? or are they the type that likes to mess with peoples heads, alluding to something while meaning another?
take this information, get a couple leads from your own rolecard, and from details like how people are describing their rolecards, and start building a case. there will be dead ends, loops, merges and splits but with enough evidence and logical reasoning you can start to figure things out. helps if you have a good intuition for this sorta thing.

Like, Priestess regularly gets mislynched as town, by town. She already said she expects that slot’s D1 reads to be bad. Now that they’re hardpushing her, instead she’s turning it into an OMGUS ‘they’re trying to mislynch me’ post rather than looking at the possibility that they could be wrong.

And while FK made the same argument for a scumread on me, it’s a lot of the smaller things(the holeir-than-thou additude, challing yourself a lhf, painting yourself as a hero on a mission to defeat the evi scumMies, using buzzwords like “Omgus”(in my case the buzzword was buzzword but same thing)
