I’m definitely out of my comfort zone. I 100% hate microreads. I’m good in macroreads and fishing reactions, microreads are definitely something… well I have to learn it. Let’s try to familiarize myself a bit. Sigh reeeee

  1. Arete & Disquieted (2) - Arete null. Disquieted: at least semi-experienced player. I like his solvey style. Making reads is not the only way to play towny. He tries to solve the Jgoes/Marshal situation by using very pointed questions. Townlead for now.
  2. Astand (6) - Says he’s stressed, posts are def stressed. Seems for me like each of us got pushed out of our comfort zone. For real, too few content for now to evaluate. Gut says very light townread.
  3. Luxy & Geyde (1) - Holy shit. Both good players, on the same spot? On the first glance the reads sound okay, but Geyde is known for his bad reads on D1. I’ll come back to this later. I think I have to read this slot by associations + intentions. Being solvey is definitely NAI for Geyde, and I guess for Luxy too.
  4. Simon (9) - Reee, he’s scumreading PKR. @Simon explain your scumread on my hydra partner.

5. Kai (0) - Well. Null.
6. Shurian (4) - Tried to start this a bit slow thread with a jump, reads are okaish I guess? Feels solvey. Wait for read by associations + intentions.
7. DatBird (0) - Well. Null.
8. Priestess & PKR - Priestess is locksc… okay okay, sigh, for once I’ll try. I scumread you anyways, PKR, reeeee. I’ll make your life to hell if you don’t work with me :heart:
9. Marshal (36) - Bad vibes. This whole “reactiontest” and “memes” stuff seems for me to distracting from somewhat. Or somewho. But what? Can someone help me in this… scumlean for now.
10. Vulgard & Squid (4) - :wave: @Vulgard Can you explain to me why exactly you think that the memey distracting Marshal is more town than Jgoes who tried to confront him? Oh… later you changed your opinion a bit. Hmmmm.

15. Merc (5) - Solvey. Townlean for now. Don’t have played much with her, so idk about her playstyle, but it seems pretty well for me. Highest townread for me.

Simon, can you actually explain in a consice manner why are you scumreading PKR, because you wrote a million words there and I still didn’t understand the actual reason. You even said it wasn’t AI that he softed, so I don’t get your point at all. Unless it’s related to 20 posts thing, which makes no sense to me?

Same for Nerbins, can you rephrase your suspicion on him?

If I’m being real though, your points are so difficult to read that it approaches a point where it’s clear you didn’t edit your thoughts in any manner. But I’d still like to understand what are you talking about better.

This feels like a discredit of me and my reactiontest, while also painting jgoes as the “hero” taking down big baddiee marshal.

There’s nothing wrong with pressuring other players to post more as long as the pusher’s doing it with the right intentions. Nobody likes a bunch of sitting ducks even with these post restrictions

After playing mafia for some time I came to the conclusion that chaos is good for the village.

In my opinion there is nothing else wolves would like to do more the whole game than to be involved in a long, peaceful discussion with other players. This is the easiest way for them to hide simply because any competent wolf is going to be able to fabricate solid reads, answer questions and ask some good ones himself. What causes good wolves to make mistakes is pressure and emotions. There is very little emotion in a debate that lasts for 20 hours.

A very effective way of learning someone’s alignment is placing a player in a position they weren’t expecting to be in and which they were not ready for. Wolves can crumble under pressure and that mostly happens during two stages of the game, openings and EODs.

I am gonna play strong this game. I don’t have a PR, and so i am gonna use my ability to post and lead this game. I am gonna powervillage. Things are gonna get out of the confort zone. That’s where you catch wolves.

Anyway, that discussion on pressing Jake seems completely unrelated to reading and is just a matter of personal preference, so let me fetch the most recent readable thing on this thread. And on it I must say that I agree with Marshal just because taking sides is hella fun.

Also since I was wrong in Marshal’s case, I’ll change him back to a nullread. I think Jgoes is not mafia but some sort of neutral evil (and hopefully Eevee would not put a Jester in a setup for people to improve ther playstyle), just because on even if they are blatantly scummy, no one auxiliated him on his push or townreads him.
If Jgoes is mafia, I would say that his team are the ones ignoring him instead of making a comment scumreading him. But honestly that’s the least likely thing imo.
