i already knew that they heavily advised against it
the only thing that would be enough would be a direct personable order to stop.
like i said, i’ve played with at least half a dozen of those roles IRL with PI officially licensed storytellers before
we have to better define some of the possible interactions
but after that i think we’ll be good to go
that’s like saying ‘I’m going to break the law because the police haven’t told me, personally, to stop driving 80 miles per hour in a 30 mph zone, they’ve just said that people in general shouldn’t do that, so I’m going to do that unless they tell me personally to stop’
it shouldn’t matter if they say ‘you personally shouldn’t do this’ or ‘people in general shouldn’t do this’ because … you are a person in general … unless you have a really good reason to be an exception (which you don’t)
The PI officially licensed storytellers that I played the game with definitely didn’t have a good reason to use any of these roles either. But they still did

has it occurred to you that as officially licensed storytellers they may have had closer contact with the devs such that they could actually discuss the unreleased characters and, for example, get permission and/or advice on using them
yes. and I know that at least some of them have been feeding this advice to another guy I know that is keeping updated a document about these roles
And I’m very good friends with one of these officially licensed ST’ers, and I got clarification and help on many of these roles when I was making that dropbox PDF a few weeks ago.

*and i’ve spent dozens of hours getting help and advice from ppl who did have this permission
