Meta reads are on a specific person, case by case. When I make reads of that kind, I’m working from the general archetypes of players that exist and applying those general “characters” to their play, which acts as a dummy for meta without actually needing any direct meta experience.
I don’t really know why he’s town read, I’ve just gotten the impression that he is from multiple, otherwise disagreeing sources, so it seemed trustworthy. I used him more as an example in that case
Basically, when I make reads that seem like they’re meta reads on people I have very little meta on, I’m basing it off of pretty surefire assumptions about their play that I’ve learnt from experience. Completely different kinds of people can exhibit the same behaviours in mafia given their experience level and what kind of games they’ve played, which is a good way to create a reasonably accurate model of somebody’s play.
Still. Word choice just isn’t that consistent. For instance I do sorta use scummy and suspicious differently, but every now and then I just exchange one for the other.
No reason for it, that’s just how it works out for me.
This may be slightly different for level two players but the point is people just aren’t that consistent for word choice.
And trust me I know how much humans as a rule are creatures of habit. I still believe this applies
The point was not the words themselves, it was the reason why it was different, and I tell you that sulit’s motivation did not make sense in that gamestate unless we provide the assumption of an agenda and knowledge they shouldn’t have.
Simon, I’d describe you as a kind of player who’s a Level 2(b) player: who takes the game seriously and has a reasonable amount of experience, but unlike the Level 2(a) player, who still has elements of the Level 1 mechanical player, and thus excels more at rolemadness than the Level 2(a) player, who is generally a solid ally to the Level 3 players in a vanilla game’s village core.
The point is that it’s in character for you to say suspicious randomly, but NOT for sulit to do so.
Where the heck are your level things coming from? Don’t get it, but want to know.

Just read through some Sulit games and he’s really out of his solvy town meta here…but he has been in his neutral meta and I’m not sure what that means except that his attitude is playing towards self-interest at best.
His comment towards Possessed looks really good to me despite the wrong conclusion based on seeing him say something very similar in one of his past games.
I’d prefer a Hjasik wagon tbh I know she’s a good player as town and I haven’t seen any of that and instead have seen her contentless lurky scum meta.
The point is he uses trustworthy to describe townreads. That is valid.
