Honestly, cult needed to convert Gikkle. Yes, it would have been obvious that they had done so, but leaving them alive to CS was too much of a risk.

One, yes it is risky to let the knight not be converted.
Two, it wouldnt make a difference and let Gikkle become CL after which they wonāt able to make free kill.
I canāt tell HTM to use grand trial, because Launchpad will use the day ability and end the day earlier.
Icy Touch allows for cancellation of day abilities.
Of course, cancelling day abilities and blocking voting would require two souls.
