Yea, you lynch those other classes…

Not what I said but. You must hate balance changes then

I mean randomly openclaiming is already bad strategy I dont see Why We should punish people for it

To teach them when to use the claim to its fullest. Letting Unseen and neuts know who a tk is for no reason doesnt push game state further but punishes them already. Thus us doing it with inq IF inq is looking for them is not changing much except make the punishment faster

Balancing is not to teach players or to force them into certain playstyles. Balancing is to provide more fun to the players.

And I think the opposite. If we can teach players to be better it will move the game to upmost fun and balance. And inq is only punishing 3 people out of 16 to 18

I dont find it fun when our tk claims for no reason and bd is punished so inq imo is fun

Everything which takes player initiative away is not good for the game, imho.

So they already get punished for that they can learn by trying game or other people explaining theory not because they’re afraid of it Cuz there is class that will kill them

:man_shrugging: imo anticlaim is good but yall dont. I tried convincing ya, but it ain’t working. I think it should roll and test it before we throw it out or remake it, but that’s my opinion. Inq seems fun and I hope it’s fun for others as much fun as I see it to be. It makes players play wiser and more careful with their actions. They can still claim if they want and 13/16 of the time it doesnt punish them. But like test it that’s all I ask

Balancing and fun are entirely different concepts, for example games can be fun but not balanced at all while some setups can be balanced and not fun at all

What exactly makes Inq fun for you if you are Inq or heathen?

Adding anti claim for balance: Yes
Adding anti claim Cuz lol I dont like when people claim: no

True. There are lots of different ways to have fun, so it’s mostly personal opinion.
I second what Hja says.

an anti claim mechanic that’s not consistent in spawning is not going to do anything if in games with a consistent anti claim mechanic that’s known to everyone still manages to kill people

So… why is an anticlaim ability needed for the balance of the game? What is the balance problem you see right now, Datbird, and why do you think an anticlaim ability will remove this problem?

That has incredibely low odds from happening if you take into account good king spawn chances.

This is good design, so that any additional deaths don’t instantly prove town killers, a classtype that should definitely stay unconfirmable. Prince just being instakilled upon outing isn’t that fun for the rest of the BD, because that is a lot of times out of their hands.

Would say that’s kind of Mystic’s niche.

Force rolling noooo. Also Inquisitor works also by their potential roll anyways, just like Scorned/Fool.

Both, inq is my most looked forward to class to play other than a real shot at king. I love playing neuts and it’s such a different play style to others. It encourages good reading and helps teach others a vital step on getting better. It makes scumhunting and BD hunting skills improve since u are actively looking for both. As a non inq player since iirc u dont know ur a heathen. My gameplay wont change. I dont out my role if I dont need to, so it’s just gonna be reinforcing good habits. If I do out and get killed doesnt really matter as if I outed it would be to get a scum out and i did my job. I see it as a fun teaching exercise and practice for both ends. Idk it looks to be my new favorite class once I get it to spawn for me

This sounds like my pitch for alch being in the game

I love playing neuts too.
“encourages good reading” ??
“teach others a vital step on getting better” - go and start a thread and explain it to people
“makes scumhunting and BD hunting skills improve” ??

Welcome to “I think my playstyle is the best and everyone else should use it too.”
