FoL Feedback Thread

I’ve just realized that there is no true downside to openclaiming as Prince day 1. It’s the same problem Town of Salem has with Jailor. You can openclaim and the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. I’m not sure if that should be the case.

Maybe macho Prince should be tested?

That was one of many mistakes.

She also claimed to bomb EVO.

You would have been caught. Plus n1 cult kill is mehhh

Yeah, that’s why I didn’t do it. Too risky.

Possessor on the other hand is the nemesis to the observer. I could have taken for a long ride if she made some BD kill Magnus.

I honestly wasn’t expecting to find a killer on Magnus N1, but I DID want confirms. Amelia wasn’t on Magnus and Tabor was jailed so RIP

NKs that arent poss have strongman

You’re assigning worth to investigatives based on whether they find scum

Finding town is just as valuable, they cleared enough LHFy people to make getting mislynches much more difficult

This is how you’re supposed to play investigative tbh

So good job

But is it how most people actually play investigative?

Fuck no.

We roll investigatives to find scum and go “Ha!I was right! Worship me!”

My FoL 26 Checks and why I did them:

N1 - For confirms, so looking for clears.
N2 - Because I TR JGoes and felt hed be eradicated if Vul isn’t CL. Also maybe clears.
N3 - To catch scum and stroke my ego.
N4 - To catch scum and stroke my ego.

here’s my FoL26 hostdump

Mechanical questions asked by other people that I want to be reaffirmed whether or not I was correct or not in my answer

Do Knight/Alchemist suicide if they attack a healed BD? A death immune BD?

If a Possessor strings somebody, if that kill is exhumed will the strung persons alignment be revealed or will it always be Neutral?

If a Sellsword stonewalls a target who a CW ice wards, does the Ice Ward or Stonewall take priority?

If a Noble bounties someone who is disguised, does the disguised role determine whether or not the day continues or their true one? Like a Fool flipping BD or a Scorned disguising a BD as non-BD.

Is there a limit to how many of X class can spawn? I feel like this is one of those “hosts discretion” kind of rules and should probably have a more official answer somewhere. Even if math makes it quite unlikely to get more than 2-3

Mystic links should be handled in some other way to make it easier for the Mystic to actually read the chat. We had a problem with someone leaving a Mystic link 6 hours after the next day had started due to time zones? Perhaps using discords for this would be best, since we can’t remove people from our own DMs. I guess this is host discretion though.

The 1000 character limit in the journal should officially be in the rules on the main post, although that’s more on the host than anyone else I guess. (replace rule 10 with this, weebs out. or just note it in the journal part of the OP)

Mystic/Apostles ability to remove plurality/majority should state whether or not it is announced in its description.

Also, is there an official stance on whether quickediting typos is okay or not? I allowed it because it’s hard to catch everybody doing it and it seems unnecessarily strict, but I don’t recall seeing anything official. I can see the argument against it, being a slippery slope leading to more dangerous edits.

I think that the rolelist could also be changed a bit. Currently in FoL the rolelist is King/2 starting scum/NK/12-13BD/1-2 neuts which feels inherently townsided and since the two extra BD were added has only really resulted in one sided games. Compared to ToL with King/2 starting scum/NK/2-3 Neuts/9-10 BD, neuts are underrepresented and BD are overrepresented. I think that adding a 2nd guaranteed neut with a chance of a third would be a good start, and possibly changing a few neutrals as well (since they’re all scum sided or true neutrals, maybe reworking SS/WL to being one class? idk)

Annnd last and probably also least, the Devout Kings classcard has Grand Trial listed twice. I thank an anonymous cultist for informing me of such.

I came here to provide feedback and ended up mostly asking mechanical questions that were asked to me and I wasn’t sure about

Ooooh I know this one and don’t have to figure it out

It goes based on their true class, not what they flipped as

heck, i was wrong on that one but frost was right and i went with his answer :eyes:

Thank you!! this is a really helpful list!!

Its a slippery slope but typos are fine by me
