Iā€™m impartial about NK.

D1 lynch would be cool.

Unless they can prove to be manipulative bastard we least expect.

It always looks like a cult game until unseen member starts to drop dead.

Now thatā€™s some change I can get behind

Uh actually in terms of Maid, they already have that thing when compared to BD is a comparable match

ight

heres some wack I-couldnt-fall-asleep-so-i-thought-of-this-ideas

  • The cult leader relies on being able to get converts off to be able to kill anything, making it swingy whether or not the convert works

i dont think ive suggested this before but the CL could choose 2-3 people they want to convert in an order

lets say I wanted to convert Geyde, theyd put in

Geyde > highway > 101

So if for any reason the CL would be unable to convert Geyde, theyd instead convert highway. If they couldnt convert Geyde or Highway, theyd instead convert 101. If they couldnt convert any of them, then they dont convert.

  1. SF/CW becomes more(particularly if its 3 instead of 2) ā€˜I know this person isnt convertedā€™>ā€˜I mightve stopped the convertā€™, as thats the point of the change
  2. direct occupation becomes stronger. not alot to do about that
  3. its only for cult as they would need to do actually do kills
  4. cult likely needs a nerf somewhere after this, but this buff reducing enough swing where it might be worth throwing in
  • the king needs another way to be dealt with

let hunter bleed king

this is p simple, its another way to deal with king. Itll take longer and informs them, but its also guiltless and takes their bleed.

30 second thoughts with blue

also d1 execution is probably too swingy in unseen games

3ā€™s too much IMO.

Then they are not doing the job well

They are technically right for the wrong reason

PKR messed with their results and didnā€™t pay attention to the action before he got eventually lynched

Sounds fun not reading your results closely to mechsolve, people are so stubborn not to use that knowledge.

I loved the Fool.
Like, I think it is really good for its purpose and I can see where the day self flip selector would be good too.

I think from an hosts perspective from both sides it has really improved. Atm itā€™s one of my favorite neuts to be randed as itā€™s pretty simple to understand and like it seems players have fun with it

You nailed that role perfectly and I thank you to finish it right where needs to be, to signal the evil king to just grand trial the prince.

Fool is discouraged from openclaiming, not explicitly siding with scum, fills the niche of making investigations slightly more unreliable, and still has the ā€œget self exedā€ thing which doesnā€™t punish town as harshly for correctly scumreading while still causing chaos

overall issa good neut

Fool, once one the single worst Neutral on the site, now has become arguably the best in the game

and im willing to shut down said arguments!

Voting Out: Hardly viable unless the King is an openwolfer and there are no other means to eliminate them. As they are at worst a lost wolf with no kill/convert power, (only a 40% chance), there is little reason to vote them

Killing Them: Sure, but evils donā€™t have a reason to kill the King, unless they can replace the King with one of their own. BD canā€™t target the King. NK wonā€™t target the King until late-game so that a new King cannot be elected.

Poisoning Them: Only really used if the King is acting very wolfy, as it has the potential to kill the Butler themselves. Thatā€™s why in practice, itā€™s barely used, the benefits donā€™t outweigh the drawbacks.

A similar thing exists in ToL. The King is just ā€¦ not that involved. As an EK, all I would really be focused on is not passing off as an obvious wolf while pursuing agenda. Iā€™m a lot less concerned about my reputation than anyone else. And while the Butler could risk losing his own life, they wouldnt risk their life poisoning a King unless they are certain that the king is evil.

I think there just needs to be more ways to deal with the King and get rid of it easier, but not making it so easy that King becomes a policy kill.

Interesting thing to think about is would it be pretty bad if we made The King guaranteed to be good at the start of the game? I feel like there would be ways to balance around having an IC, for example making them immune to being protected from attacks during the night (while still being able to be healed from bleeding/poison).
