I have done random town to dissuade randoming it but that has definite downsides and in general itā€™s random

Well, not really. Mystic is not meant as IC, it is meant as social class which can gather additional claims and helping to coordinate BD etc. at night. You can fake claim Mystic, it works.

originally mystic had no version in unseen or cult fac in fol similar to way it is in ToL
Currently it was removed? in fol version but not really as unseen you still confirm yourself as only being able to be convert (since this implies that there are MM and assassin alive and your starting class was mystic) and as cult you have limited usage of it

The myst as social class is rarely used from what Iā€™ve seen usually more in way IC is people dont usually tend to claim since while mystic is almost conf town it can be converted and we already have prince for purpose of mech solving through claims
