I don’t think FoL players are worse at mechanics taking into the account that FoL mechanics are less generous
It’s easier to be good at mechanics when you’re getting messages like ‘You were attacked last night. Your death has been delayed for two nights by a Chronomancer! You were unable to occupy Arete [7]. They are occupy immune or empowered by a Court Wizard.’

Basically what I mean by this is ‘if you look at the actions performed by FoLers, and the actions of ToLers, and their results, then FoLers will have neither a lower expected value nor a lower actual result’

I played a few games of ToL after getting into FoL and i vastly improved.
I actually… had reads. and not just “die 9 knight claim” or “11 and 3 both claim maid lets kill them”
