Yes but that’s because you are getting outside help not because you are breaking the rule
the rule is against getting outside help via communication with people outside the game
very straightforward
I have never cheated. I have never passed on ingame information.
You have admitted to breaking the rules
With, I might add, literally no apology for such
So lets loosen a rule we dont want used in any shape or form to keep integrity, cause those that already break it will continue to do so and those that wont will not do it. But future people will be able to use the looser version
Priestess is explicitly arguing that that would be okay
Again because it gives unfair advantage not because it’s the rule
IT IS A RULE. omg
I never have realized that the rule orange quoted twice could be interpreted on this way.
If you feel the rules are unclear ask for clarification
But in this case it literally says “do not communicate with others about the game”
And further states “ONLY speak with other players, and ONLY in host-sanctioned threads”
pretty clear to me

No one here really cares that much if you tell, like, an IRL friend who doesn’t play FM ‘yeah I’m in a game of forum mafia, we just executed a Mafia member,’ or if someone asks you how they can get better at FM and you decide the best thing for game integrity is to tell them ‘I’ll give you advice after the game we’re both in ends’ even though that technically reveals information
but consulting other people with FM knowledge about a game that you’re in is obviously and explicitly against the rules
Yes but telling people you know aren’t in game doesn’t affect the integrity
My brain interpreted it automatically on the tol way. I’m sorry. I would have never played fol if I had realized what this rule really means.
If they talk to you about said game and what to do. Yes it is
How?
it is having influence
from outside sources
on a game
that directly gives a player an advantage
this directly affects integrity
Yea but I am talking about situation where that person doesn’t play the game
I’m curious as to how being able to talk with others about an ongoing game is somehow that critical to your enjoyment of the game that you would have never played had you read the rules
still an outside source influencing a game
which hurts game integrity
