Why is max copying marshals style of titles

Because original ideas are hard to make

Like I think marshal used this exact title. @Marshal sure max

This was not me. I wanted the title of this thread to become [FoL] Forum of Lies 24 - Day 2 (15/16): Vulgard Slain on the Castle Grounds, but Geyde decided to go a different direction and recycle a previously used thread title. Ultimately, it’s up to him since he created this thread.

I’m memeing I didn’t need a paragraph :stuck_out_tongue:

Alright, I have a little bit of time before my physics lab so I’m taking a look at Marshal’s progression on Vul. Note that Vul is now a dead flipped BD.

He mentions at the start of the game that he’s going to be looking for agenda; this post is mostly important because that’s the main argument he uses against him later.

Here’s where he starts with the push – he accuses Vul of pushing agenda. Note that he doesn’t give any examples, or justify the read in any way beyond saying that Vul was pushing agenda – he just says that he is. This is similar to e.g. Ici in Marson (I forget if I used this example in-thread or in royal chat, but I did at least one of the two), where he accused Vul of having TMI but couldn’t provide any examples of it when asked.

I wasn’t seeing agenda from Vul like at all, so I asked him here to give some examples.

And he says that he will. The problem is that then he doesn’t.

These two posts aren’t relevant to the agenda thing but they don’t make sense w.r.t his progression on either me or Vul – first he says that we probably aren’t a scumteam, then (after Shurian says that I feel alone in the thread and that I’m therefore probably not groupscum) he’s like ‘but Vul was supporting Arete,’ which isn’t a consistent argument in response to Shurian’s point starting from a perspective where we’re not a scumteam (I phrased that really badly, I hope that makes sense).

Anyways. Katze points out that Marshal never actually Iso’d Vul, and Marshal says that he “didnt [sic] feel like it.”

Overall, his push on Vul is far more consistent with a scum mindset than a town one. From a scum perspective, he starts by trying to push Vul for agenda, then when it’s pointed out that Vul isn’t actually pushing agenda he says he’ll do it later, then never does it later. This is consistent with him being scum who thought that he could maybe push on Vul for that but then couldn’t actually find anything to call agenda. (Vul being the nightkill slightly bolsters this reading IMO, I don’t think W!Marshal would have seen Vul as a viable push at the end of yesterday and W!Marshal can’t realistically convert Vul without messing up both of their progression). Conversely, if he were town, then either he should be able to find examples of the agenda that supposedly Vul is pushing, or he should notice upon re-evaluating that in fact Vul is not pushing agenda, and say as much. I don’t buy his excuse that he just didn’t feel like it, if he were really town that thought Vul was pushing agenda and scumread him for it I think he would have felt like going to find examples of it, in order to show everyone else that that’s what’s happening. In that regard, his intentions and actions w.r.t. Vul aren’t lining up.

tl;dr Marshal’s push on Vul was far more consistent with a scum mindset than a BD one

@Maxwell @Geyde @Emilia

/vote Marshal

also this took longer than I thought it would so any further commentary is going to have to wait for after I’m done with my lab :eyes:
