At least CRich keeps posting with some conviction in a dead thread, which is somewhat villagery. I’m not sure I agree with what he’s saying, but it’s all mech stuff and it’s not overtly wolfy as a result. His defense against Possessed was decent, but not extraordinary.
I got slight V pings from the guy for these reasons. The problem is that he keeps talking about mechanics and doesn’t get involved in interactions with people, which is a shame because it could help me get a better read on him. He just inserts comments into conversations without outright engaging with people or starting interactions.
Moreover, he’s not taking strong stances. However, he does have reads, despite the overwhelming focus on mechanics.
There’s no social analysis or progression, but at least he’s solving. And again, he’s posting in a dead thread, which is slightly villagery. At the very least, he doesn’t seem overly cautious. The point I mentioned about him not starting any interactions is valid, but I’ve seen v!Richard several times now and it’s the exact same thing there. It’s just a playstyle thing for him to sit on the sidelines and do his own thing.
Going throughout his ISO, CRich is definitely solving and actually making reads, so whoever accused him of only doing mech stuff (I’m not sure if such an accusation existed, but if it did…) should reconsider.
I’d say that CRich’s contributions so far are a good look overall. I see improvement over his previous village games. He could still be wolfing, but I feel like he’s too ready to make reads and too invested in trying to solve to be a newbie wolf. He’s actually taking some stances, too. We will see how he plays later.
Alternatively, he might be a neutral. If so, he’s doing a great job sitting on the sidelines. I think it’s going to show based on his pushes, if he makes any.
Overall, I don’t think CRich is a wolf right now.
Oh. And his tone is also pretty good. Not all newbie wolves have a tone problem, but even while he was being pressured by Possessed, Rich did not have a tone shift.
