Fool should not hurt evils

That being whether or not a class like Fool should punish its own lynch

Because while I think the point that it shouldnā€™t punish evils can be countered by ā€œitā€™s neutralā€, the fact that it punishes BD is countered by those same two words

And then the debate shifts to whether thatā€™s even good game design (hint: itā€™s not)

And so its abilities as punishment fail to be an argument as they are now the point of debate

orange

heā€™s saying itā€™s incorrect right now

His basis right now it it punishes you for lynching it

heā€™s right

Man im going to be honest. a huge bias of mine is anti-neutral speak. im trying to be better about it but my eyes just went hazy when i saw kaiā€™s logic of that it being neutral automatically means its a correct lynch.

ā€œCorrectā€ in this case means only ā€œnot a mislynchā€

I expanded upon that because thatā€™s a bit too black-and-white imo

But when you see that phrase, it just means ā€œnot targeting the majority factionā€ almost every time

yeah.
it triggered me just because the connotation for correct means the best choice in my eyes :stuck_out_tongue:

TLDR: Heā€™s talking tactics, not ideals.

Ideals?

Heā€™s saying itā€™s not the right move to lynch a fool, which is factually correct.

And youā€™re saying it should be.

IMO youā€™re just ranting because you lost to a fool as an evil.

No. I made this thread after winning as Fool then watching Prince vote up Hunter last and EK couldnā€™t decide fate exe to kill both because he had lost his decide fate to ME.

It seemed terribly ironic that EK was punished for executing Fool. And I wanted to see Prince get arrowed, he deserved it

Idk WHY thatā€™s something weā€™d want, but itā€™s working as intended so eh.

Even if thatā€™s the goal itā€™s implemented poorly. Sorcerer is never affected but Reaper and Possessor are.

So? Fool is a Neutral. Most Neutrals donā€™t give a shit about you. IMO Sellsword shouldnā€™t be classified as a Neutral, but it doesnā€™t fit into any other category. Anyway, all Non-Killing neutrals aside from Sellsword can win with both factions. They can also lose with both factions. They can also win while the other loses, and vice versa. Your problem with fool is that itā€™s not ā€œevilā€ enough. For crying out loud, Pretender can be more harmful to evils than fool, with the ability to justā€¦ call them out on their bullshit. Why arenā€™t you complaining about Pretender? Or what about Scorned? Scorned could be detrimental to evils if they wanted to. Why are you picking on fool here?

Pret is the class I hate the most and have complained about the most. Scorned is not comparable because it chooses who to hurt. If Fool is intended to hurt evils then itā€™s doing it rather arbitrarily; e.g. Sorcerer is never hurt by voting execute on Fool. But Reaper and Possessor are.

Then by your logic, Neutral Killers should benefit from executing a Fool, since they lose so much from it.
