Why would BD pardon an evil king. I also canāt win against an evil king, so I need him gone.

Spiders are not insects. They are arachnids. They have four pairs of jointed legs and are therefore not insects. They are still creepy-crawlie wiggly-woosits though, so in 1939 the Spiderās Republic of Spiders made an appeal to the United Council of Bugs to be accepted as a member of bugkind. Their argument was that despite not being officially categorized as insects, they were still bugs. In a landmark ruling, it was decided bugs =/= insects and spiders were approved to join their bug brethren and sisteren. Despite some early bug-racism, bugs and spiders eventually joined under the common banner of bugdom and accepted each othersā differing bug virtues and bugliefs.
And so it came to pass that when the rematch of the snails and the bugs came about, 10 billion spiders answered the call. Apparently, that was still too few spiders, as their infiltration was met with a swift-ish response from the snails and they were promptly, slowly, executed.
