This was one of my concerns with fake claiming Knight – “why didn’t you guard Prince?”
Me guarding anybody could have resulted in a BD death. After discovering how the Deputy actually worked with its prioritization, it isn’t worth it to ever guard. There is a long list of different sorts of actions that have priority over others in which the Deputy targets. For example, the Deputy will always target a killer role that is attacking first, but it won’t target somebody converting over somebody doing something benign like occupying.
I was planning on trying to survive until end game and then begin alerting or guarding.

I helped you out a little, you pinged Me slightly oddly in regards to your reaction to rope vs me which us why I pressured you a little. Your reaction from that convinced me you weren’t cult leader, so I figured either cult would kill you for me, or would not convert you. So eh, glad I could stop you being converted
I understand that. But look at it from an outside point of view – you CC’d a power claim that you then claimed you were not. I wasn’t the only one suspicious 
You guys want me to decide fate? I feel like hes gonna get executed anyways but say and ill do.

I wasn’t sure, the day we lynched Dama, I was pretty rogue sure was scum, but I wasn’t very noisy in that respect, because I didn’t want cult to waste my night action by killing him
I figured cult would YOLO press both claims as they knew both sheriff claims were scum, but would be worried by a paladin hard claim

Im not bd king, im cowardly king, the neutral. I didnt guard prince because, like many others here, i didnt expect cult to kill.
