we felt it was a little controversial, but in the end they were just the best among the ones submitted – and most of us agreed on that
alice is good at designing classes
which doesn’t mean none of the other submissions were good, but we had to use process of elimination

this probably isn’t the last time we attempt to change up the setup which means that maybe there will be other contests in the future
