n later times Bast became the goddess of protection and blessing,and was the protectress of women, children, and domestic cats. She was the goddess of sunrise, music, dance, and pleasure as well as family, fertility, and birth. When Anubis became the god of embalming, Bast, as goddess of ointment, was connected to him as his wife or mother, until Anubis became Nephthys’ son.

In Egyptian mythology, Osiris is the god of life, death, the flooding of the Nile and the afterlife. He was the brother and husband of Isis. They had a son named Horus. Osiris was murdered by his brother Set because Osiris was pharaoh, which Set wanted to be. Osiris was killed when Set tricked him into getting into a box, then poured Lead onto the box to close it so Osiris could not get out of it. However, Isis brought Osiris back to life for one night. After Horus was old enough, he defeated Set and became the pharaoh. Osiris’ mother was the goddess Nut, father Geb, sister Nephthys, and sister as well as wife Isis. He was around to protect the Egyptians from the underworld. (not from wikipedia i swear)

She is the protector of Athens and other areas of Greece. She also becomes heavily involved in art and literature. She even guided Odysseus often a form of an owl along a dangerous journey.

Often she would punish mortals for being much more beautiful than her. One time she even made someone fall in love with a bull, thus creating the minotaur.

And danced she did, her dancing brought many visitors to the bar.

Card Backstory: Ame-no-Uzume-no-mikoto is the Kami of dawn, happiness and joy in the Shinto religion of Japan. She is famous for her role in the tale of the sun goddess, Amaterasu. Basically, to get the sun goddess out she danced on top of a boat naked which brought the sun goddess out of her cave.

Gen 1: Bonne Danseuse - Is able to dance better than most normal dancer making her a sight to behold.
Gen 2: Papillon Doré - When she dances small golden butterflies are sometimes seen, making her performance beautiful.

Back story before cards Existed (from Godcard 1)
when he was 9, his parents died, and he has since been raised by the grave keeper in the graveyard where his parents funeral was held. he has no brothers or sisters to speak of. Now he helps all the visitors grieve and facilitate the resting of the dead.
Going into Another Time
before the cards disappeared, Fade (G) thought it best to keep Marcus safe so he went away to hunt for raul as he was a danger to his son. he left Marcus in a friends “safe” hand but never returned. sadly this friend was actually quite abusive (in the way that he didnt care for marcus in pretty much any way), and fade just never knew. so about one year into this marcus gathered his belongings and ran away. the friend hasnt noticed to this day. Since then he has been living on the streets in new york, getting enough for food by working every now and then at a pizza place. everywhere he goes he carries his “card” with him. its a cardboard cutout, poorly colored in with crayon. his new cardboard box is very homey

Appearance: A relatively tall person, about 4’11", with very curly hair thats a light brown, bordering on red. its quite wispy. emerald green eyes. thin, but definitely not lacking in muscle.

Backstory: A singer who stopped growing at the age of 14 due to a rare genetic deficiency. (Her family does make her insecure inside because they grow up so much more) However, she doesn’t let it get her down, and her voice rings through, just like her attitude. However, she can be quite brash at times… But… she deeply cares for her friends and family. Even if she doesnt show it directly.

Card Backstory: Birthed on the island of Delos, son of Zeus. He slain those who oppressed his family at a young age, and is known for his knowledge of the arts. His skill with a lyre is very much appreciated by many in the world, agreeing that he would be the god of music and singing.

Song of Rejuvenation: Out of combat, the cardholder can restore minor cuts, bruises and vitality on others in a small area around the cardholder. Duration of song depends on the cardholder, as songs are strenuous on the cardholder’s mental energy.

Backstory: From a plain and uninteresting chldhood a young man showed up at the army, saying that he was to be recruited. He barely passed the physical tests, but on the mental tests Kaden Smith showed his true colours, showing a razor-sharp mind and an unstoppable drive to reach the top. In 5 years, after an honourable discharge at the rank of Captain, he joined the FBI.

As it happened, he rose through the ranks quickly due to his superiors being involved with several minor scandals that seemed to do nothing for him, yet after just 2 years he was the senior foreign agent. He’s known throughout the agency for always playing by the rules, but only by the letter. The only reason he hasn’t been fired is because his bending of the rules to their very limits benefits the FBI greatly.

Appearance: A tall man with black hair, wearing a black suit and black tie always. He gives off an air of imperious seriousness, but his most defining feature is his eye color. He is not blind, but a rare genetic defect means that his eyes appear to be completely white unless you are starting right into them. There, you can see the shape of his pupils and his iris, which are both a very light grey.

Card Backstory: Ouranos (Uranus), the Greek god of the sky and the origin of all the gods. He disposed of all the children you deemed to be disfigured and impure and cast them in chains to the pits of Tartarus, and was eventually murdered by his son Chronos.

Card Powers:

Generation 1 - Sky Affinity - The user’s physical strenght increases the higher above sea level they are.
Generation 2 - Levitate - The user can float about 5cm above the ground at will.

Backstory: Julia was born blind, but showed a better than average ability at coping with it. She learned braille and seemed to almost sense things before she touched them, making her crash into things much less often. In later life, she got a stable job as a clairvoyant, calling herself ‘The All-Seeing Blind Clairvoyant’. She is very proud of her grandson, Toby.

Secondary Character Information

Name: Mabel Winterhart
Age: 23
Character Alignment: Unknown but appears to be neutral.
Backstory: Oh, where to start. She was in the original Godcard serving as sort of muscle for Raul Long himself. Together they terrorized New York, even going so far as killing a member of the Olympus Group and forcing the good guys to form the notorious Iron God project, a military project meant to combat Godcard users. During their many exploits, the two partners in crime developed a budding romance and ended up falling for each other. Alas, that was short-lived. After a grueling battle in the graveyard involving a particular villain, Mabel ended up “accidentally” killing the man against Raul’s orders. Raul, mad as he was with the power of the Godcards already in his possession, blamed Mabel for his missed attempt at getting a godcard and a result, not only broke off their deal but attempted to kill Mabel. Mabel escaped with the help of Fade, another Godcard user, and has went into hiding. During her time hiding, she discovered an actual God living in the woods and also discovered the dire consequences of letting magic run loose in the world. Mainly, the reawakening of the Gods themselves and the possible, at least in her mind, end of the known world.
