Godcard [Roleplay Thread]

cal and shade stop at the gate of the graveyard to be greated by some police man

La la la la…la la la la…Why don’t you come here…

Meanwhile Mabel looks for a couple to test out her new Voice. As well as her Eyes.

There are two cards inside, a black and a white one.

@FadeBlade @Ami

Cal: Oh, thank god.
Officer: Evening. Which one of you called?
Cal: Him.
Officer: So you said something about public disturbance?
He turns to Fade

@PolikShadowbliss
As a matter of fact, one is making out under a street light.

She looks at both of them with her Eyes.

(I’ll suppose I can advance to the next day now yay also do I have enough for my 2nd gen to activate?).

Thomas wakes up into the morning by once more his phone ringing, apparently he slept trough his alarms.

Hello, Thomas here.

E: Hey Thomas I looked at these images you sent me aobut that language and I corss referenced them, nothing came up. Litteraly nothing.

T: So it isn’t a variant of any known language?

E: My best guess it’s encrypted and decrypted the language is alphanumeric but I can’t even guess to start trying to crack this one, where did you even find this?

T: During one of my cases, either way thanks for the help, I’ll let you know if I find anythign that could help solve this, also it’s nice hearing from you again.

E: Sure thing, and it’s been nice spekaing to you Tommy, but I have to go, we’ll talk another time.

With that Emma ahngs up the line. Thomas sits down on his bed and spaces a bit out thinking about everything that happened.

As the couple kisses under the dim street light, Mabel sees their sin. It isn’t very pretty. The man’s a professional lounge lizard, to use an old term. He lives through swindling stupid lonely middle aged women. He had three victims in the last 12 days. It comes with numerous lies, naturally.

The woman isn’t much better. She used her husband’s money to gamble. She left her husband after she ran into a debt and met the lounge lizard.

@AgentBoin
(Just RP the gen-up)

There’s a letter. Looks like he’s called as a witness. The trial is in two days.

the girl keeps humming

Mabel walks over to them, switching over to her Voice.
"Ah so sweet. The sloth and gambler making out in the moonlight."
Mabel doesn’t flatter as they turn to her.
"It must suck to be in the bed of this loser, isn’t it, young lady and you young man, wouldn’t it be better if you didn’t have to worry about this dept she owes people? Who knows? Maybe she will steal your money and run off with it. And you wouldn’t want to lose that hard-earned cash now would you?"
Her smile grows wider.
ā€œIt is either you or her. You or him. Which one? You can’t live together forever you know.ā€

Thomass mind is foggy and to clear it he decides to take some morning practice before breakfast with the mana balls in the same allyway behind the appartment building like he did yesterday

Thomas shoots several mana balls at cans placed at varying distances and heights just to see how good his aim is with these things

A warm feeling and clarity seem to spread trough his body and Thomas evenr ealises it’s form the card in his pocket which he hadn’t touched sicnehe put it there. He decides to pull out the card realising it’s shining and new text has appeared on it.

What the hell? Thomas reads the new text

2. Arcane knowledge Thomas scratches his head and then the clarity comes back. Thomas realises immediately that it has to do with the book.

Thomas heads back into his appartment and puts the book on the table and opens it. The language still can’t be read. Thomas focuses harder using the mana like he did with his hands.

The text starts to change revealing…

Both of them frown with distate as Mabel approach them. But as she recites their past, that distate turns into anger.

Woman: Piss off! Don’t act like you know everything about us. Am I right, darling?
Man: What’s this about debt? I thought you said you have no ready money because your husband hasn’t sent you any.

The woman laughs and waves her hand in front of her mouth, as if trying to swipe the matter aside. Her laugh sounds forced and panic can clearly be seen in her eyes.

Woman: Oh, I was hard up a few times because of some rigged games I played. Nothing to worry about. Let’s go to our usual bar, okay sweetheart?

She tries to pull his arm away from Mabel. He doesn’t budge.

Man: …sorry darling. I just remembered about an appointment with a business partner tonight. Maybe-

Woman: I knew it! You’re sleeping with other women, aren’t you?
Man: So what if I am? I’m literally your other man, you slut!
Woman: Don’t call me that with that filthy mouth of yours! You-

The argument escalates quickly into a shouting fight. The couple both strain their voice to overcome the loud music from a nearby bar.

Mabel’s Voice is now a whisper that can only be heard by the man and the woman.
That’s right. Fight! It’s you or the other. Fight and let blood reign.

(Dama, would it make more sense to have Lillian or other stop by the graveyard earlier today or the next day?)

Basic elemental magic. Neat. It covers many things you expect to be able to use as novice mage in RPG game; Fireball, earth spike, wind gust, splash- Holy hell it’s more complicated than game. It will take time to learn them.

@Polikshadowbliss
Woman: You said I’m the only one you will ever love and now you-
Man: Shutupshutupshutup SHUTUP YOU B*TCH!

The man charges at the woman. His eyes are wild. His hands are targetting her small, fragile neck. The woman screams, but he keeps charging in, and the next thing that happens…

fat, drops of blood taints the street red. The woman is trembling. Her hands are holding a pocket knife, the same knife that now pierce the man’s heart. Cough of bloods escape the man as he falters and falls slumped on the street.

Woman: i-I didn’t mean to kill him! He made me do this! I would have died if I didn’t kill him, right? What I did is self defense, right?

She turns to Mabel. Her tear stricken face smears her make up. Her eyes shine of desperation. Her face pleads for redemption. For someone to tell her she isn’t wrong.

Mabel trembles as she looks at the dead man, trying to keep a smile from entering her face.
As a result it takes a while for her to compose herself to meet the woman face to face.

ā€œYes, yes, it was self-defense. He attacked you first and you reacted. Entirely self-defense.ā€

Woman: Heh. Hehe. Heheheheehehehehehehehe. I wasn’t wrong. It was totally self defense, you hear? I’m not wrong and you are dead. Serves you right. Hehe.

The woman’s hands droop to her side. A shout comes from the direction of the bar. A leaver sees the bloodied man and the knife in her hand. But the woman keeps giggling.

(Lel, does the police do nothing about the humming girl?)

Mabel blends into the shadows and quickly leaves the scene.

Just as she does that, she feels her card vibrate and feels more power come over her. But she doesn’t know what it is. Smiling wickedly, she quickly returns to her apartment.

^^

Once she enters her apartment, Mabel jumps on her bed and laughs manically as she looks at the next ability. Oh, this is going to be fun.
