Xander takes the case file and skims it up and down.
“So…The child was choking on it’s food and the father was grabbing the brat’s throat trying to help.” Xander passes the file back to Sophie. “That’s the most believable lie I can come up with. Good luck.”
Jacob jolts awake from a nightmare, his face dripping with sweat. “My head…” he groans, as he slides out of the bed. His godcard shines on the bedtable next to him, and a golden light inscribes the text of his new ability. He looks around the cabin, searching for Mary and Albert.
Mary is next to him. They are sleeping together. In one blanket. Too bad Albert didn’t take off their clothes
Albert is cooking in the kitchen
Jacob picks up his card, and heads into the kitchen. “Good morning, Albert. Hold still.” Jacob holds his hand out and it emits a soft golden light. A soothing tune can be heard in the kitchen as Jacob heals the bruises and scratches Albert got on the way to the cabin.
Albert: Good morning. I found some canned food. They are good enough to eat.
Dried meat, tuna, ohh pineapple in a can. This breakfast is sure to be weird.
“At least it’s in a can and not on a pizza.” Jacob teases. “So… I think that white card did something to my god card. I also had… a strange nightmare.”
