Raul wakes up in the motel, he has no ice cream. He takes up his phone and calls Matthew

Daed seems to be working on some paperwork
“No, haven’t had the time yet. Apparently there was a shooting the mall and…”
He sighs
“So much work lately…”
“Apparently it was the same guy who kidnapped Hal’s mother.”
“The shooting of Sophia’s house?”
Daed shrugs
“It was just some guy. No idea… Probably just a terrified neighbor.”
(they wouldnt think to search for/talk to the grave keeper, either before closing it or just in general since its his property, as far as i know?)
The final tests are complete. After more than a week of testing, the suit is finally operational. Drynold steps in the suit and walks around. It is fitted with a variety of different devices and capabilities.
