as you no longer touch the card you lose the ability to control your body
Jacob creaks open the door, yawning and sees the Shade. āSo⦠howād you two sleep?ā
he sighs can a souless body even sleep?
Jacob tilts his head. āSoulless body? Oh. You mean the kid. Heās not back from the spirit world yet?ā
(still seriously dont get why he wouldnt just talk to marcus before trying to force him to go his way.)
no and I donāt think he intends to return
(this is that thing again. should have just said that OOC)
(I wanted you out of the ghost world knowing what happened to you before hand. you did get trapped in there and fade does not like you being in there longer then you need to be)
(well fade should know marcus well enough to know that he honestly wanted a conversation. yes he would make an offer, but if fade gave some valid counter points (not just said no) he would give in and come back)
(how does he not get that physically forcing marucs to do stuff like that doesnt work)
(fade did go throw a lot trying to get you back. and he honestly thinks you should not have the card. you have not proven yourself able to use it yet)
(and you did support the girl who was the root of all of fades problems and he is not happy about it)
I pocket marcus card I will have to deal with you later
(and yet he tries to force it away from him instead of convincing him not to use it
)
(I tried to convince you many times. forcing it away was my final choice)
(when? like actually, im unsure)
(well when I 1st got you out of the hospital. I only let you use in the Manison for a bit so you could give us info but you decided to stay in the world)
(and with all that fade has been going throw he is no longer the most patient person)
(well, to be fair, its hard for marcus to actually try and convince you to let him use it, since it was apparent that if he came back you would instantly take the card. at least in the mansion one. and other than that and telling him once when he got out of the hospital, did he really ever try to convince marcus?
the main reason convincing marcus isnt working is that its more of a formality, and marcus knows that if he refuses nothing will change, and youāll still try and get the card back. he wants some independence, in this case manifesting as the use of his card. he knows his refusal means nothing, and so he refuses to accept)
(we are talking about magical cards and how Marcus screwed up so badly. I have plenty reason to not want you to own the card)
(ok. I am stating marcusās reasoning. fade may not want marcus to have the card, but unless he lets marcusās refusal to him asking for the card actually have an effect on the situation (i.e. fade trying to get the card back to something else), most likely/preferably actually letting him keep it if he can refute your reasoning, then marcus will never accept)
(of course, this is subject to change in strenuous situations or with personality-changing-events, and thats either for the worse or for the better, but as is that is how it always will be)
