The layer breaks down with a shattering noise. Lilian still uses her fountain pen to scribble something on the floor.
Lilian: Hold him for a while. I almost finished.
She doesnāt want to take risk. Verbally using the glyph works, but the effect is unpredictable.
Reloading his gun quickly, Raul enters the apartment first, with the goons using him as cover
Thomas fires a mana ball at Raul and then hold his pistol ready to fire at one of the goons as soon as he peeks out behind Raul.
A relatively young man awakes in his awfully cheap looking mattress, in the one room that is his apartment. As usual he doesnāt commit to his planned morning routine.
Another uneventful day I betā¦
He opens the door to leave the apartment.
Jacques glances down at the package sitting in front of his door.
A package? Why would anyone send meā¦ How would anyone know Iām here? Iāve been staying under the radar ever since I cheated those smugglers out of their money!
Jacques looks at both sides of the hallway quickly, then swiftly takes the package inside.
Itās an untasteful magic shop with glaring sign on top of it that says, Delphi Magic Shop. A woman with wild fizzy hair greets her.
Shop Assistant: welcome to Delphi Magic shop! How can I help you?
The package is small; As big as an A5 paper
Jacques brings the package to his small kitchen counter. He places it on the table and takes a dirty kitchen knife out of the sink. He tears the package open with the knife.
_Raul gets knocked back a bit, but the armor takes most of the blow. He charges at Thomas and indicates that the goons charge at Drynold
Drynold is able to shoot one of the goons to his leg, but canāt do better due to him being right handed, not left_
There are two cards inside the package, a black and a white one.
The black card has the figure of a snake on it. Loki, Norse God of Deceit and Mischief is written below the picture. A search at the back of the card reveal the writing Blend and explanation for it.
The White card seems to be a business card.

One of the goons attempts to shoot Drynold, but somehow the bullet hits the other goonās hand, disarming him.
Meanwhile Drynold attempts to block the goonsā charge by dodging it with his superior reflexes
