Then with the click of boots, Mabel enters the office.

The secretary exits the room. Silent for a while. Then the speaker comes to live once again. The mike on the principal’s desk is not used. It’s a woman’s voice

“Good moooorning New York High! How are you feeling today in this gloomy morning? I’m Professor Apple, with a message from your dear Principal Teacher!”
