Jacob leans against the barrier. “Welp, there’s not much I can do to help from this side.” He throws his bow down the stairs, dismissing it as it falls. “I’ll be here if you find anything of value. Or is there something I can help you search for on the first two floors?”
Mary sees Jacob and Albert standing on the stairs when she enters. “Hey! Long time no see.” Jacob calls down. Jacob appears to be leaning on an invisible wall at the top of the stairs.
(It’s only been a few hours i’m pretty sure.)
“Well, it’s felt like an eternity! I’ve been trying to get through this damn wall.” Jacob knocks his hand against the invisible wall behind him.
“There is some sort of barrier here. I can’t seem to cross it while Albert and those other two…” he nods at Miriam and Isaac. “…seem to be able to cross it just fine. Wanna try your luck getting through?”

A fantasy novel quote comes to Thomas: All stories have a bit of truth in them. Surely this story is hopefully the same considering magic is real and thus many of the myths.

He flips through the page and reads one page aloud
“Mundane Barrier. A barrier that completely blocks off magic. Development is progressing.”
Albert looks confused
Albert: How can Lilian know this much? Project under development shouldn’t even be known to Level Two Clearance agent…
“Blocks Magic? Hm…” Jacob sets his god card on the ground and attempts to pass the barrier.
