It sucks not to be able to do anything in the game. Right now Physician and Psychic are the only way to do that.
While I personally hate Psychic (for being redundant), I’d like to be able to have some impact on the game, or at least communicate information. While I’d personally like to switch Psychic with this, and guarantee this instead, I’d at least be able to have an impact while dead.
Honestly? The dead should stay dead. They’re dead.

That being said, I think dead minigames were on the table at one point. Is that close enough for you?
Even with Psychic, their power is pretty limited. They can’t get new information themselves, and can’t influence the day phase. The guarantee you can at least talk to Psychic and point things out to them is useful, but doesn’t make them too much more powerful.
It’s not needed balance wise, but it would make the game much more fun if you were dead. Mini games wouldn’t affect the game. You’re just doing something else while waiting for the game to end. It would have just as much impact as if you left.

The whole point of killing players is because dead people can’t really do annything to hurt you.
If you gaurentee psychic then scum have to needlessly WIFOM EVERY KILL
Why does Psychic exist in the first place then? Most of the time the Dead still can’t hurt evils due to lack of knowledge.
It’s also a way to keep players engaged after death, even with minimal effect.
There is no real reason to stay in the game without any power to do anything. And you still can’t vote, speak, or use abilities when you are Dead.
To allow for proper night communication between BD thus helping them coordinate actions to be more effective.
I mean the ability Call of the Dead. Also Prince serves the purpose better. Psychic mostly just collects logs.

No. A Prince trying to coordinate something with someone takes 2 nights. The Psychic trying to do it takes just 1.
Early game sure. But it’s what he does at the point where most people have claimed and the Psychic has everyone’s claims (but not enough information where he knows who is bad) and can start ordering them around where he plays very different from the Prince.
Actually Call of the Dead doesn’t “have” to be anywhere

Nonono I didn’t say that anything that gives encouragement is automatically a good thing. Just that having more encouragement is better than not having it at all. Obviously other things are important too which is why we even have these discussions at all.
It reduces the effectiveness of killing people. I don’t personally think it’s a big deal but orange does.
Not by very much. You can’t kill people, vote, or speak to anyone but the user (or Psychic’s target). It does reduce the effectiveness, but not my much.
