How To Fix All Of Our Issues

Well some feedback is neccessary. Without feedback, people will hate most the classes.

I think this might be true for redirects given the amount of chaos they cause. But I don’t think the other feedback is really necessary - I think people will adjust over time.

(And if the issue is that people feel it makes classes too weak, we can always work out other ways to buff them.)

Also as I said earlier, the CW’s barrier kinda eliminates the effectiveness of figuring out someone’s class possibilities early on just from seeing they are occupy immune.

The problem is that the Butler whispers this discovery to the King / Prince, who puts them up if they claimed a role that isn’t occupy immune (and all the occupy immune claims have other problems that make them hard to use.) If they then say “I’m not immune, it must have been a CW barrier!” people will say “CW confirm?”, then lynch if there’s no confirmation.

It’s not as overwhelming as some of the other problems, though, now that the MM no longer reports as occupy immune.

Honestly the fact that it was such a huge issue with MM shows that this can’t just be brushed off

Sure, it’s not game-ruining like finding the MM is, but the in-game impact is effectively the same

I think the problem is best solved not by removing feedback from BD roles but by giving evils more abilities to confirm themselves so scum reading plays a bigger role in identifying evils than just narrowing down classes based on attributes like occupy immunity and the inability of the possessor to force vote.

If it hasn’t been suggested: make it so only a single “you were attacked” message shows. Also, if you’re attacked + reaped it should just say attacked.

Because you would not notice your body being alive…

Sure, but if we’re removing extraneous feedback then knowing you were attacked more then once is definitely in that box.

I mean, you’d know who you visited if you were redirected or if a Merc stood outside your room too or if your target didn’t hang out with you last night (drunk redirect)

Turning that extra tips off wouldn’t be enough?

Why not just say “Reaped” though

Not what I meant. You as the player would notice the fact that your body was not found dead the next day.

I think there is some confusion here. What I’m talking about is this:

Imagine that Assassin and reaper target slot 4. When the night ends, slot 4 gets these two messages:
“You were attacked last night”
“Your soul was reaped last night”

And then their body shows up the next day. I’m proposing getting rid of the 2nd message SOLELY when you’re attacked the same night (what I just described).

Ok. In that situation it works

Why would you not get rid of the first message though

Because the former message + seeing your corpse the next day provides the exact same information as having both “You were attacked last night.” and “Your soul was reaped last night” appear.

Oh shoot I forgot the body still dies

Ignore me lol

Geniune question because I don’t remember - how much better is this now, six months later? My own time to play has been limited but I remember notifications being scaled back quite a bit, especially relating to prevention and occupation. Is more work still needed here, or are we okay where we’re at now?

I played one game and answered my own question

Our Court Wizard caught the Possessor because the empower made their kill unhealable

Less feedback please thanks

That actually sounds like a fairly interesting way to find a Possessor.

If you need the collaboration of 2 weak classes noting minor usually non-sus notifications in turbo to get a lynch out of it then I think it’s fine.

Except it’s highly unfair for the NK
