Priestess mafia is a subjective game no one has the answers to your questions, you have to find them out on your own.
If you don’t want to be scummy, take a deep look at what caused you to be lynched in each game to find the root cause. I can assure you there is one. Scrap the things that cause you to be lynched, while keep the things that cause you to not be lynched.
We don’t have the answers because the key is spilt into multiple pieces which you can only see.

Exactly. What someone has to do to not be lynched is different for every person depending on meta playstyle experience and a number of other factors
Interesting enough… playing scum for the first time helped my town game a lot
I just happened to never roll neutral or scum in my first months, which would have probably helped
When people realize that you are not a low-tier scum player, they stop mislynching you for doing low-tier scummy stuff

Sometimes people just need time and experience to develop a better play
Mislynching them immediately each game does not necessarily help in that, you are taking away from them the possibility to learn ^^

obviously your goal isn’t going to be ‘mislynch the newbie,’ at least if you’re a villager, the thing you’re going to be attempting to do by lynching the newbie is lynching a wolf
treating people with kid gloves and pretending they aren’t wolfy when they are doesn’t really help anything
Actually… it helps, at least in Tol. Newcomer title reminds people to have more leniency for their misplays, and be less toxic about it if they make a mistake
