We must stick to being TOL related
It won’t confuse anyone if we change it.
It won’t but I like it because it’s tol
If we could have a compendium of what certain keywords mean that could solve any issue of confusion
How about that?
In ToL it’s occupy, noone will understand you if you say Roleblock or RB
That may work. Mainly just inviting people across sites means we need a way for everyone to be included. Which means getting everyone speaking the same language and on the same levels of respect
roleblock is role blocked.
It is confusing in ultra turbo like ToL but is pretty simple to understand (in FM since classes are called roles)
I’m pretty meh at advertising things to other people in all honesty.
In any case probably shouldn’t be using this thread for more non-ama discussion :^)
You asked me anything
Moderation stuff counts
This is after all off topic
That’s kind of why I ask things like these here instead of making a poll about it.
I feel like I get more well-thought out responses when on amas since people think more about their responses.
You also get more verbose ones asking people directly.
A poll is inherently limiting to A B C or D.
It also doesn’t account for the humanizing factor of the choice.
For example if B was “Standardization” and C was “Respect” that would seem harsh and cruel. However it’s more the standardization of terms and inclusivity I wanna aim for. Not any inherent “disrespect”.
How can we make FoL more attractive for ToL players?
My suggestion for that would be to advertise the forums more in the game itself. I didn’t know about this forum until I was told by the person who recruited me to ToL. Players in game may just not know the forums are a thing.
Then you can get feedback from players who are then aware and then see how to drive community engagement.
I’ll definitely add the first part to the rules as a footnote of some kind.
The first part comes in degrees and inevitably falls back to the mod’s decision. (it’s also in global rules so I believe it already is a thing) I would be willing to add a footnote to the rules saying that character attacks are very much against the rules.
It’s more a balancing nuance and those aren’t my forte.
I would have to enact the all powerful @everyone in most cases or have the discord mods allow me to advertise it in general chat.
Oh, I got already a lot of feedback, they’re just not giving it openly.
That’s another way too.
Mainly you need to see who is aware and then target those people for feedback somehow.
Oh okay. Then why wouldn’t they? Is it shyness? Embarrassment? Granted unfiltered feedback is generally more brutal but it gives a launching point of that feedback and why isn’t it in the open?
