I think King needs some kind of rework

Nah

Give it a support or social skill instead

Ah good, we can exe him d2 no problem every time then.

Hell it’s tempting to do now anyway.

Why would that make him more tempting to kill? If you guess wrong you still get a BD and lose the next day’s lynch.

And in exchange you stop Decide Fate from being used against you and you get a (practically) guaranteed good king.

If you find someone you can just occ them n2/n3 and put them up d4 (plus if they’re MM then you want to wait that long anyway)

Guys OE is staying

Make it 1 use

The balance we want to strike is a king with a useful ability to bd, but not so powerful he can live for free.

Make him too weak and we stay where we are and whispers decides kings faction and it theoretically becomes better to just execute.

Make him too strong and every game gets decided by the king faction roulette wheel.

He’ fine right now… butler can poison him so they don’t have to waste a day

Incase he decide fate prince

Butler can’t poison during or after the trial, which means king gets to stay alive for two more days, allowing him to kill with both charges of Order Execute. It also is still a reactive situation, and not an active one.

If butler can’t react fast enough his loss

This is a social deduction game, not something you need good reflexes for.

This is the scenario:

Day 3. King calls 11 up, wanting logs, claiming them to be evil, whatever that king thinks of.

The very second that 11 is voted up, Butler’s Nightshade ability is locked. 11 is frustrated and says he’s the prince. King force executes him. Butler still can’t nightshade him.

There is no point where Butler needs “fast reflexes”. In fact, it’s more on the prince than anything else to stop the voting and confirm himself as prince.

Evil king exist because we don’t want confirmable. If that was the case everyone would heal king and butler would be useless

Okay, that’s fine. I’m not advocating for Evil King to be removed, whatever you might think. Yes I made the idea, but I was not expecting it to happen, if anything as a last resort.

Also, I have already stated healers would not stick on king. He has guard for himself and if other players are bled/poisoned healers would have to back off. Butler also isn’t “useless”. He’s boring to players, but his ability to occupy evil roles is important since he can stop assassin/Reaper/Cult Leader from taking actions, and can stall them out.

He’s useless if his only job is to posion king when king confirmed good

You do know Butler can occupy other players, right?

Yeah I think he knows but drunk does that a lot better, doing this would make him useless

I agree, replace order exe with a sup/social ability

I think there is a key problem to King.

  • Make it too trustworthy and whisper meta. Also it just becomes a Mayor, which is boring.
  • If it’s too untrustworthy, it just gets lynched or poisoned.
  • If it’s neither, it just becomes an ordinary person to other people, maybe good and maybe evil.
  • It’s swingy, as a potential extra ally to Unseen/Cult

Of those first 3 the 3rd situation is fine to have.

The 4rth one can only really be solved by weighted spawn rates. Possablely another Unknown class that is on the opposite Faction as King (Queen anyone?)

Actually I’ma wright up a Queen class real quick.
