I was Merc, got feedback I was "attacked but immune"

Good King said he didn’t guard me that night. So is Good King mistaken or was there a bug?

Questions like this are best placed in #bugs-don’t-ping in the official discord with ?logs and a screenshot. The only way you could have gotten that message about being immune is if King guarded you that night. Maybe he was mistaken about who he guarded?

I don’t think you get notified if a shield saved you

Shield gives the player death immunity once so it should

If King didn’t guard you, it must have been your shield going off.
