Since you’re counting passives double, I’d like to propose that all neuts that suicide when they can’t win be treated as suiciding when they can’t achieve either win condition.

Hm, in ToL death immunity goes before soul consumption (this is relevant because of Safeguard) so it would make sense for that to carry over? and then for DI-bypassing attacks that don’t bypass souls being a thing you’d consume a soul

but this is just my intuition, you could sensibly rule it either way

The part of my brain that stores miscellaneous knowledge has decided it’s really important for me to know that while you can’t Dirty Work on the same day as your Assassin gets executed in ToL, you can if they take an arrow via Retribution, and conversely completely unimportant for me to remember things like, say, the name of my physics professor.
