Hi, I’ve been thinking about hosting a game called VLDR, but it takes a lot of work and preparation to actually host so I wanted to make sure people would actually be interested before I started designing a game.
This game was stolen from Hypixel Forums which was stolen from ToS Forums, but it’s pretty fun. A basic rundown of how it works is there will be three phases: Discussion, Roaming, and Ambidex. During discussion players can talk in a main thread about the game with all the other players. During roaming players can explore a map pre-created by me. They can search for items, perform actions, look for things, etc. If multiple people are in the same place they will be placed in a dm where they can talk with each other. During Ambidex players will be paired together and they will essentially play prisoners dilemma. Choices during the Ambidex Phase will award Ambidex Points.
If a player accumulates a certain number of Ambidex Points they will have access to a door or exit in the map, from which they can escape and win. If a player has less than 1 Ambidex Points they will die.
In addition to the above all the players will have roles and alignments, and different agendas they may have to complete before escaping to add an extra level of… lets say fun to the game.
The description I gave above was relatively vague, I’ll probably explain the game more in-depth if people are interested, this is more just to give a run down and see if anyone would actually play. If you have any questions feel free to ping me with them.
