Knights... why do you always do this?

Whenever I’m possessor, I send a random sucker at the King. Everytime I get 2 for one as they are killed by a knight. Like… Knight and Priest, Knight and Sheriff, Knight and Observer

Everytime, BD have gone onto lose (I don’t usually win, as unseen grow out of control fast)

So why do knights do it?

Brutal.

RNG bless us.

if you are not winning when you do this . whg do you keep doing it ?

I’d have to second newark. If protecting the king is only particularly harmful against a possesor, using a strategy which dooms himself, it seems kind of silly of a response to it. Generally strategies are made under the assumption that their opponents are doing what they think will make them win.

Because he doesn’t win when he doesn’t do it too

My point is, BD end up with 3 - 4 dead night 1, and I don’t understand why anyone protects the king night one, least of all a knight

There is no reason to guard the King night 1 especially since they may end up guarding themselves anyway.

I don’t consider Neutral Kings to be allies, so there is only a 1/3 chance of the King being on my side. Guarding him means I think he won’t be guarding himself which reduces the 33% chance lower.

I always guard #1 or #16 first.

Yeah but a Neutral King could hunt for evils. Reliably.

I tend to use traditional BG tactics and see what people say day 1 or go by names. Was in a game where I traded with an assassin night one, then a second one traded with an assassin night 2. Bd were so tentative the game lasted until day 13 to end

How do you know if a King is neutral or not?

If a neutral king is good then the probability of a helpful king is 2/3

If it’s 2/3, then you’re assuming all Neutral Kings are good.

That is correct. In fact that is the premise.

It’s better to let the first king die and let a more likely bd king step forward. I played a semi convincing good/neutral king as an evil. Lost because I accidentally approved a possessor as an ally, and voted first for a hunter. Unseen were wiped out by thus point, so nothing I could do about it

Well if you were neut you would be able to fake BD pretty well

I’ve found 2 scum as neutral king, but butlers still poisoned me twice. Luckily, a physician healed me, so I still helped bd win. Tbf one cultist earnt a win and I kinda felt bad,but I couldn’t betray the physician or ‘my son’

Well there you go. The phys trusted you!

Back on topic, there is no need to guard the king night one as knight
