Studio C is fantastic.
If you use Google as a search engine then they may be able to track you on the sites you go on for google
But every line of code you can view for Firefox as it’s thankfully Open Source
Chrome is not
LOL
Which is also why Firefox is able to be a worthy competitor to such a gigantic corporation
Developers from around the world contribute to Firefox because they have access to the code
People can’t randomly contribute to Chrome (Unless they contribute to Chromium, where most of Chrome’s code comes from and is also open source)
Chromium is
The only real advantages you gain from not being open source is that competitors cannot take your code and make it their own, or if you’re going to be sneaky like Google or Stylish and steal millions of data illegally
“OH Hiiii USA…I heard you were having family problems and I thought we should get back together
both parents pull out guns
This is all going to go under the radar because of BLM and Coronavirus just like what happened when congress tried to pass a law that would make end-to-end encryption on US servers illegal
I had bad version of Chromium before that downloaded as a virus and would install every day. It was terrible. I get that it was prob just an evil version of it but like I have my worries
OH! While I’m recommending software and browser extensions
This is the best anti-virus software imo, my dad recommends it.
I also somehow randomly end up with free premium trials as well.
it depends what you’re looking for
for most people id recommend MBAM but if you’re a super security freak i’d say kaspersky or something
How do I know this?
I wonder why
:looks back at 8 yearold self trying to download Simpsons Hit & Run free off of Softonic:
U get a free trial whenever it updates
I used to have subscription for over 4 years, last year they made an announcement that they would start collecting more data and I threw it out of the window. Not worth it.
Just Windows Defender is enough as long as you don’t download suspicious .exes and launch them every day.
.exe is one of the most dangerous files to run
Don’t do it
I use Gridinsoft Anti-Malware.
I’d be surprised if anyone here knows it.
Not well known anti-virus software is probably a good use because they’re unlikely to be participating in major data scandals because it wouldn’t be worth it to them.
Suspicious_File.exe
Wow, that looks trustworthy, let’s run it!
I mean there’s a difference between downloading .exe for an application like IrfanView, or downloading a “Photoshop” .exe from some shady "www.totallyfreesoftwarethatisnotascam.net"
site.
oh, thats news to me
windows defender is surprisingly good nowadays
i pair it with MBAM because i have free premium (for reasons i still don’t remember?) but for a microsoft free antivirus; defender is actually great
