Now this is a take that I can 100% support :^)

violence is always the answer
it’s just not always the most rational/ethical one

Geez, I wonder what could go wrong here.
At least they didn’t have any children… Or did they.

oh they did

I don’t really have an opinion with a solid foundation, because I have next to 0 experience with romance, let alone marriage. I’ve never had a significant other. In theory, though, marriage to me looks like… the final step. You bind yourself to another forever, so you need to take many, many steps to get there together. In my opinion, nobody should get married until they are prepared for a lifelong commitment. Fully prepared.

That said, regardless of me saying that, people are still going to marry left and right without feeling connected enough, and then the cracks will begin to spread. Which is the true reason for most divorces and abusive relationships in my eyes. Personal circumstances aside, people marry far too early and decide to have children too early, and then many of them have no idea what to do next. Quarreling begins, the married couple begins to have different needs, they want an easy way out but there is nothing of the sort, selfishness prevails over the welfare of everyone involved. Or, simply put, they feel trapped and want to escape. And if they do not want to escape, they want to own the situation. So you either get conflicts of interest, or conflicts of interest with added abuse – and both are terrible for the child / children.

It doesn’t happen always, obviously. But it happens a lot. Which is why I prefer a careful approach.

Then again, lots of people, my father included, are risk-takers and prefer to do things now rather than later. So… eh.

i’ve never had a legitimate romantic romantic relationship in my life
i’ve also been “A” for at least 3 years
so ye

I’m not trying to argue there can’t be positive consequences, but generally speaking, there are risks involved. And these risks are substantial enough for me that I would never want to marry anyone for another decade at least, I think.

Although, at the rate things are going, perhaps never.
