I did take culinary arts class for three semesters
Having the materials to be able to cook well is expensive, but when I can afford it, I can do it

Man I’m jealous.
I like cooking but I never tried to get into it that ‘seriously’.
I just find recipes that sound interesting and try them.

It was more luck than anything lol
I chose to change high schools for the second time mid-junior year, and the high school I took my last 3 semesters at had a culinary arts program. It usually started at the start of sophomore year, but luckily, the instructor let me in halfway through. I think he liked me and also I was fairly competent there.

good quick food when low on funds (although i can cook well, it’s just better to buy frozen / pantry stuff a lot given my current financial situation which provides few opportunities for expensive, rare ingredients that rot fast)
I’m so bad at making pasta from scratch that im not really capable of assessing it from a high-end perspective
