Legends of Merathia (A D&D campaign)[Chapter Six: Manhunt]

Wex follows, confused, the Orc also follows because he’s got a job to do, the group gets clear of the inn just in time to see it get crushed

still looking for Jeoffrey

Val reaches the Watchhouse, where Jeoffrey is filling out paperwork

Rushs into the room I NEED HELP

Jeoffrey: What can I do for you?

I think me and my friends are stick in a time loop

Jeoffrey: I see, and you think it might be Chronos’ fault?

pretty much. the archmage was also kidnapped

Jeoffrey: I see, well I suppose I’ll do what I can

hands him the note he left this for us

Jeoffrey: I see
He reads the note

we need everything you have on Chronos there must be a way to escape this.

Jeoffrey: We’ve never had any reports of someone escaping a time loop, I think the only way to do so would be to kill him

so you have heard of these timeloops?

Jeoffrey: Yes, people have mentioned them, and died relatively soon afterwards

I don’t think these are fully time loops. more like other worlds we are sent to when we die. that mirror the others but are never truley the same

Jeoffrey: That’s the explanation we came up with as well, a true time loop would screw with the fabric of the multiverse, so instead the victim is sent to a parallel timeline
Jeoffrey: Meaning, if you’ve died in your loop, there now exists a timeline where you’re dead, it just isn’t the one you are in now

so if I die in this timeline. I truly die here but I am sent to other timeline with all my knowledge intact

Jeoffrey: That’s the common assumption
Jeoffrey: Although for you it’s the same experience as time constantly looping

did you hear this from people who claimed they met Chronos and stuff about time loops?
