Legends of Merathia (A D&D campaign)[Chapter Six: Manhunt]

2 people are nearby and hear the party talking, one talks to the other loudly and clearly so the party can hear

What’s that, Henry? A ferry service to Illima? For free? Wow, if I was a group of 6 people who wanted to go to Illima for whatever reason, I’d go for that as soon as I possibly could!

Henry: But I didn’t say anyth-

The other man puts his hand over Henry’s mouth

Maledith raises his eyebrow and seems suspicious of the two figures

“My friends! My newfound comrades! You 'av no idea how much I appreciate 'zis!” Grimm grabs his things “Let us be off to the port, then!”

they all go to the port avoding henry

( Thanks for being a DM for us )

Thalia is fishing by the docks, sitting next to some boats

walks up to Thalia you were not wrong about people wanting us gone

“Lucky!”

Rina ignores Val and approaches Henry

“Did you say something about a ferry ride?”

(But I wanted to talk to the two strangers :sob:)

(its a trap)

Grimm follows behind Rina. “Yes, free passage you say? 'vat is 'ze catch?”

Maledith follows Grimm and Rina, being quiet

(Yes, but Grimm is stupid and unwise. Playing my character, not myself.)

“… I don’t trust them…”
follows Val

H: I didn’t say any-
the other man elbows him in the ribs

T: Well, he was a much loved member of the town, one time for his birthday people put up signs saying “Brelliant” as a pun

Maledith gets close to Grimm and whispers

“I wouldn’t trust them.”

“Splendid! Is today your birthday? I can sing for you if it is!”

H: No…it’s not my birthday

“'Zey seem a bit sketchy. Any excuse to hear Rina’s lovely singing voice is fine 'vith me, though.” Grimm whispers back to Maledith.

“Good! I’ll sing it earlier because I won’t be here when it’s your birthday.”

She takes out her lute and starts to sing Happy Birthday in a cheerful, vibrant voice. She goes out of tune a few times and her finger slips over a few notes, but she sings happily without a care.
