especially in mirror matches it fucks people over hard
i know, I play Obosh, The Preypiercer Rakdos Sacrifice, and itās even more ridiculous when it pings for 2 instead of 1
iāve had several games where someone let me clear their board with it because they forgot it triggered on enemy sacrifices
and yeah like i said hero of precinct one is i think the fastest body generator in the deck
the big question is how to improve the deckās removal against the Cavaliers and planeswalkers fires drops, basically.
yeah
jeskai fires is the deck which consistently bodies me
any other deck i have a chance against
but jeskai fires not really
Sarkhan the Masterless is probably the easiest to deal with if you have a board to speak of, because Sarkahn almost always -3s after being dropped, but that still leaves a 4/4 Dragon on the board to deal with
generally the pattern is that they play fires, clear my board every turn while playing planeswalkers, and win with planeswalkers as i try to rebuild
see I think the problem comes down hugely to the fact the deck is susceptible to the Clarions that Fires runs, and there arenāt that many good anti-planeswalker spells in Standard right now
We donāt have like an Immortal Sun to make all the walkers useless while simultaneously buffing our stuff which makes the walkers common to the current build of Fires hard to deal with
yeah i think itās a bad matchup overall but i would like to have a fighting chance at least
however
i do have a wacky idea
the funniest matchup ever is when iām in a mirror match and donāt draw mayhem devil
itās just TRIGGER WARS and like 20 things on the stack/in response
strong, cheap, minion, that basically preemptively counters Clarion?
nothing can be as funny as Manaless Dredge vs. Land Destruction, to be fair
hey this isnāt bad
canāt use him for sacrificing but it counters many removal spells and can be used to haste-bonk planeswalkers
Tajic has always been a decent card but itās never really had a place outside of Boros Aggro, but this might be a reasonable spot to splash in a few copies of him. He is rare, though, and has very little applications generally.
i sacrifice my cat to get a food
they do the same
i bring mine back
they do the same
etb trigger
etb trigger
trigger trigger trigger
sacrifice my X
in response, sacrifice Y
trigger trigger
jfckdkcn
yes but vul
a deck that plays 0 lands vs. a deck that wins by destroying lands
itās a hillarious matchup
