If only we had some breadcrumbs, Deacon said.
Magnus ignored him. He moved to the passage leading right and went into the darkness, holding the torch up high.
Shink
Spears extend out the wall. Clearly metal.
What do you do?
Magnus let out a shout as he jumped backwards to dodge the spear.
The spears luckily only grazed you, causing minor bleeding
Magnus-X
They soon retract, be careful of where you step
Magnus walked forward, now slowly, looking for any tiles with symbols on them.
There was a tile with an engraving of a man being impaled by spears, when you stepped on it the spears would come out a few inches ahead.
Magnus carefully stepped around it and kept walking. He had no idea where he was going, but he was sure to be quiet now.
You soon find a room, with a piece of paper.
Magnus leaned forward to read it without touching the paper.
It was written in a language that was bear impossible to understand, however at the bottom of the page there was a picture of the raven
“What does the raven symbolise?” Magnus muttered. “It’s not Egyptian… i’m not sure.”
He looked around the room for anything else, anything else at all.
(you wouldn’t know anything about egypt as it’s the bloody 17th century :^) )
(I read a lot)
( sigh )
As you make you way back, stepping over the pressure plate. You find that the left door has shut closed. The only way to go is the stair well
Magnus hesitated. “Someone’s here,” he said quietly so only Deacon could hear him, before going up the stairs.
Evening, 16XX, The Second Floor of The Temple
You find yourself in a near pitch black hallway as your torch burns out. You can make out beams of light from down the hallway
“Damn,” Magnus says as he threw the torch down behind him. He walked forward, listening for any noises that would warn him of his immediate death.
Woosh.
Something seems to fall in front of you. You can’t tell what exactly.
Magnus leaps back again as he waits for his eyes to adjust enough to see it.
Nope, it takes longer than a few minutes for your eyes to adjust bucko.
You can make out a few floor tiles have seem to fallen into a pit of sorts
