Maybe. But it solves the fundimental problem that vote manipulation has of being useless early game.
If vote manipulation just isnāt fun, Iād personally make Noble into a purely whisper based class.
It gives the Noble a more precise aim, and also more fakability for the Possessor.
Thatās what I was originally suggesting until I came up with bounty.
See my 4 social classes post on that.
Wait a second! Why did you remove the Hunterās Occupy Immunity!? Thatās actually important unique or not! Otherwise it would be an easy poacher tell.
Or you could remove the notifications that your target is immuneā¦
If the notifications stay it probably does need it.
The notification isnāt going anywhere. Re add the Immunity.
It should somewhere. Somewhere far far awayā¦
But Iām readding it for now.
Rename this to Conduit, and remove the network limit and the cooldown. I know that the cooldown exists so that illusionist can mind warp without without being suspicious, but the skilled passive already does that. Also, change Conduit so it only adds your target to the astral network.
Rename this to alter link, change this so it removes a player from the astral network, rename it to alter link, and give it unlimited uses. This is so it works with the above changes.
Agreed. Maybe it could be changed then so alter link only adds the player to the astral network(and has no cooldown. Illusionistās skilled passive prevents players from knowing it is converted anyways), and focus link removes a player. They would have to be renamed though, alter link could become conduit and focus link would become alter link.
This is so it isnāt obvious that the psychic is converted.
The issue with noble was that it was boring, not that it was vote-based.
Thatās not a reason to limit it. Itās a high-skill ability.
But the current version is almost useless. Brotherhood just needs to be replaced.
You canāt know that until you try it.
If focusing Court Wizard on Tornado isnāt an optionā¦
Hereās my alternate proposal:
Court Wizard
Blue Dragon Support
Passive: Fragile Magic: If you are redirected while using Tornado, you are occupied instead.
Night Ability: Magic Barrier: Place a barrier on your target. If they are attacked or converted while this is active (not the night it is placed on) prevent it, and remove the barrier. You may only have 2 barriers active, and you may target the same person again to remove the barrier. Unlimited uses.
Night Ability: Tornado: Same as now, but bypasses immunity. Cannot target self. 3 uses.
Note: You will be notified when a barrier breaks.
Your current version is fine. Court wizard should be focused on tornado. And this magic barrier is to similar to phys/knight
I actually have a few issues with how this is right now. First of all instead of using attacks or converts as a trigger, have it give the target death, occupy and convert immunity until its triggered. There is 1 subtle difference and 1 clear one. First of all it is the same as immunity rather than a prevention as itās worded now. This means it can be bypassed which it better for something like this. Second of all make it so that if a barrier is broken the ability is put on a 1 day cooldown so it can be counter played consistently. Finally make the ability to remove the barrier a day ability with unlimited uses and remove that function from the main one. Call it disspell (did I spell that right?).
Court Wizard
Blue Dragon Support
Passive: Fragile Magic: If you are redirected while using Tornado, you are occupied instead.
Day Ability: Dispel: Remove a barrier. Unlimited uses. Does not trigger cool down.
Night Ability: Magic Barrier: Place a barrier on your target. If they are attacked, converted, or occupied while this is active, make them immune for the night. You will know when the barrier is broken, and a 1 day cool down will trigger.
Night Ability: Tornado: Same as now, but bypasses immunity. Cannot target self. 3 uses.
Wording is a little off but its good. Also you forgot about the 2 barrier limit.
I would word it like this:
Night ability: Magic Barrier - Place a barrier on your target. They are immune to death, immune to occupy and redirect and immune to conversion. If someone tries to attack, occupy, redirect or convert them then the barrier will break and this ability will be put on a 1 day cooldown. You can only have 2 barriers out at a time. (Unlimited)
Also sage should get dispel.
They are immune to death, immune to occupy and redirect and immune to conversion. If someone tries to attack, occupy, redirect or convert them then the barrier will break and this ability will be put on a 1 day cooldown. You can only have 2 barriers out at a time. Unlimited uses.
Night Ability: Tornado: Same as now, but bypasses immunity. 3 uses.
Sage
Unseen Support
Passive: Fragile Magic: If you would be redirected while using Tornado, you will be occupied instead.
Day Ability: Dispel: Dispel any Magic Barriers you have cast. Unlimited uses.
Night Ability: Tornado: Same as now, but bypasses immunity. Unlimited uses.
Night Ability: Wall of Fire: Same.
Tbh I still prefer the version on the thread, but this is better than the current one.
Whats up with this limitation? Itās limited uses on CW and Sage is scum so I see no reason for it.
Otherwise itās good.
Mind Screws.
Butler occupies Court Wizard. Court Wizard swaps himself and the Butler. What happens?
Butler tries to occupy self. Abilityās that effect other abilityās go before the abilityās they effect. The real mind screw is what happens if the CW swaps himself with the person the butler is targeting. In that situation the only way for the CW to be occupied is for the swap to go through. Therefor the swap goes through and the CW is given the message that he was occupied anyway (in addition to the success one).
I would make the order of operations:
HH
Party
Tornado
Occupy
Debauch
AKA: In order for the CW to bypass occupy immunity he would need to move first. However Party and HH are the same deal because they also bypass immunityās and could bypass the Tornado as a result.
Okay. Iāll remove that clause then.
