Master Rework of Doom!

That’s why it has a 2 use limit. Also, the blackmailer in ToS is similar to this and nobody complains about it being not fun to play against.

That’s definitely better than the current one. Would this also apply to votes, accusations, and trials? If not then it should.

It should just not show the names and numbers

I do. :stuck_out_tongue: I have heard a few other complaints.

Yes.

I’m updating Armored.

Also, there is a reason that Chill lets you talk to the dead, and it isn’t just a nerf. It’s so that you can interact with players, even if they are not living ones.

Maybe distract could be changes so you only hear the dead then? But still talk to the living.

The dead could just tell you what’s going on then.

I’m just gonna explain why some things would not work.

Psychic:

People are less willing to claim to a Psychic when there are other living players talking to them. People didn’t like when Link Minds targeted two players. They felt like they couldn’t get any info.

Illusionist:

We tried giving the Illusionist Link Minds before, and it was a terrible idea. Everyone hated it. No one would talk to the Psychic.

Noble:

People hated it when the Noble was only vote based. At least now people only dislike the Noble. It needs work, but making it less fun to play is not the way to go.The first night ability is pretty much a guessing game most the time. Most people that are susp will be killed the same day they are suspected.

Hunter:

This is the exact same one as in-game.

Inquisitor:

I don’t think the Inquisitor should be convertable. I understand you did it because you got rid of RE, but converting them would highly increase the chances of the Unseen/Cult winning. Also giving the convert a kill ability is not a good idea.

Physician:

Exhume was removed for a reason. It was never used.

Court Wizard:

Tornado was given limited uses for a reason. Everyone that wasn’t the CW hated it.

Ritualist:

Brotherhood was nerfed for a reason. It was way too strong before.

Possessor

Mimic would not only be an extreme pain in the ass to program, but it opens up some issues. Like what if you possess the Cult Leader, or the Prince, or the Psychic.

Reaper

Reap already bypasses healing. It says so in the class card.

Sorcerer:

This honestly just seems like a pretty heavy nerf.

Mercenary:

Is going to be reworked somewhat, but the voting thing is already implemented for the next patch.

I think in terms of the psychic change they meant they choose targets at day and talk with them at night, like Prince.

Illusionist needs Link Minds tbh. Otherwise they don’t have a rock-solid fakeclaim.

It doesn’t have Isolation or Retribution.

It’s not meant to gather claims. Prince can get claims well enough, and Psychic is redundant now. It’s meant in order for a small group of Blue Dragon to coordinate their actions, to work better together.

If Illusionist doesn’t have it, it would instantly out them.

The convert has no kill ability.

I didn’t actually mean to revert that ability, I was just trying to copy the current ability. I’ll fix that.

Basically how it works is that you have a network of players you talk to at night, much like the Unseen/Cult. Using Alter Link, you add more people to the network. Like how conversion adds you to the Cult/Unseen chat, except your faction stays the same, and no one is immune.

Honestly I’ve wanted a neighbouriser in this game for a while now. Town night chats fascinate me.

I personally came up with it so Psychic wasn’t a discount Prince.

Also I got the idea from @NuclearBurrito 's Multiball game.

Really? I used it a lot and can see even more use cases for it now. Especially if it was made return the ability instead of the class.

You might have not noticed but we first made the Inquisitor BAD rather than Neutral. Because unconvertable BD isn’t something you want he needed to be made convertable.

The sorcerer change was to account for the fact that the Inquisitor was no longer a hard counter.

He’s never going to be convertable. That’s the end of that. It removes the whole dynamic of the thing.

D:

rip my(basic) idea.

But are you ever gonna take a second look at the inq/sorc dynamic?

The dynamic isn’t going to change. They just need some buffs/nerfs.

Even if the dynamic is mostly the same, it feels like the Inquisitor should become Blue Dragon, even if they remain after the Sorcerer.

The Sorcerer loses most of the time anyways, as the Neutral Killer, and with the Inquisitor chasing after it, so the Inquisitor’s goal is exceedingly easy. They mostly win with the Blue Dragon anyways.

Well no duh. I’ve been trying to make it as interesting as I possibly can. I know that pure vote manipulation can be borring which is why I wanted to add in trial manipulation.

However I do want to have a pure whisper manipulation class. Preferably one that a Possessor might be able to fake.

The trial manipulation will be even less fun.
