I still prefer Diplomacy because it’s simpler, more consistent, and there are still opportunitues in early game where that extra vote could matter. Maybe you give it to someone that seems trustworthy, and when you’re in need of that vote, it will save you.

Primary Ability shouldn’t be used to confirm, so this isn’t about that at all. It’s just an ability that can turn out to be veru useful in different stages of the game, instead of having to align who you choose and only benefitting if they’re lynched. Political Pressure and Noble twin work just like that, and allowing another player to get another vote is +2 for each Noble who uses Diplomacy and Political Pressure at max, which has so many more opportunities to be able to swing the vote instead of just one PP.

The problem is that swinging the vote is all it does. In the early phase of the game you aren’t swinging the vote unless something has gone horribly wrong. This makes the class low impact early game and leads to very little interesting choices being made. Bounty however has much higher early game impact, more interesting decisions to make and can’t be used for easy confirmation. All of those factors are critical in any class. It is the reason why we have 3 classes that can Occupy/redirect or any other confirmable action and the reason why to confirm a hunter he needs to wolf someone or a knight needs to CS someone.

It’s why the CW is borring but the Physician isn’t.

CW is as boring as hell.

We should focus it on Tornado, since it isn’t just a conversion Physician.

Since 1 conversion occurs every 2 nights, while on average 2 kills happen per night, more with Revenge, 2 for 1, poison/bleeding, and BD killing anyone.

But the whole benefit of CW barrier is the guarente that confirmed BD STAYS confirmed. It’s why I thought I persistant barrier was a good idea because it let you use tornado (the more interesting Ability) without Sabatoging your own efforts.

If you want to focus it on Tornado , thats fine

You do also have to note though… while more than one kill happens most nights, most NK kills are un-redirectable, and of course most redirects are also neutral (swapping 1 BD for another)

Read closely. We are making it bypass redirection Immunity.

Also most swaps are not neutral even if it is BD with BD. And it usually is BD with non-BD anyways even if you are swaping randomly.

The tornado would bypass imunity. So it would work on NKs and the MM.

Magic Barrier has no effect on NKs, but this would.

Yeah but most people don’t get that far and this class has no defensive Ability’s. Plus Bounty has important application late game too.

For the CW one approach would be to make him block more things than he alru does:

Defile, Poison/Bleed (day), Chill, distract, Bounty, Puppet strings (first target, not the kill), Possession (kills the target with no swap) MD frame or MC hide, Fool frame, Scorned frame, ect.
