Your Bounty VS My Diplomacy, and both of us have logical arguments on why and how our proposed abilities is better than the other.
Canāt we just make diplomacy a limited secondary ability?
I guess, but then what would we do with Overtime?
Wait. I just realized how OP it would be on apostle who would need to have it to fake claim noble. Because 2 apostles would be 4 votes.
Diplomacy would replace it in that case
Well yeah, but apostles can only be converted, and that would finally show the emphasis and strength of Noble.
Also I have a few suggestions then.
Noble Twin should go from 2 uses to 3 uses
PP should go from 2 uses to 3 uses
Diplomacy should go to 4 uses
Bounty is unlimited then
And @NightX I thought Duelist, Inquisitor, and Baron are Unique? I mean, Duelist for obvious reasons, not having too many killers, Inquisitior as a NK counter should be Unique, and Baron with entitlement should be Unique as itās easily confirmable
Are we having a vote?
- Bounty
- Diplomacy
0 voters
Bounty: If target is Blue Dragon and lynched the next day, there will be another vote.
Diplomacy: Targetās accusations will count for two the next day.
The problem is that there would be too meny of them for this to work. Right now there are 3 apostle converts so getting one would be rare. However with these changes there would be 6 which is not as trivial.
Plus it would mean that cult would not have access to mind warp.
Apostles donāt have to be carbon copies of Nobles
Yes but they do need to be able to fake noble with all of the obvious ways. Right now that is just PP but Diplomacy would qualify as an easy way to prove so it needs to be on the apostle if it is on the noble. Itās just like with telepathy and Eavesdrop.
Diplomacy wouldnāt show a message, and if really needed, that could be combined with Mind Warp
Iām listening. How would it work then?
I donāt know, maybe set it so it becomes Bounty and Diplomacy combined
Bounty is supposed to be targeting evil. Diplomacy is supposed to be targeting BD. And that doesnāt answer my question of how you are going to avoid the message.
Or rather you are trying to target suspicious people with Bounty so that there is a safety net should they be misguided.
Seems hard to have diplomacy without alerting the target. Even if they arenāt told, it will be noticed that when they vote it counts double. It is a pretty obvious sign.
Well I was actually thinking that Diplomacy wouldnāt get a message, people would simply have to vote and then see, which isnāt always the easiest thing to notice in my opinion.
It is not hard to notice that your vote upped the vote counter by 2. And if it is deliberately hard to notice then that just makes it harder to confirm for the wrong reasons. Anything that actually effects game play should be logged if it isnāt hidden entirely. AKA all or nothing approach, if someone is voting for someone then either nothing special happens or the special thing is written out for those that know about it. Now that doesnāt mean need to post it when it just COULD have happened. I mean that in the case of noble twins for example, if that ability were to cause someone to be executed then that was a special effect and there should be a message saying it. However if they were pardoned anyways or there was already enough exe votes then nothing unusual happened so there does not need to be a message.
However when it comes to adding votes there will always be a special effect if that person is put onto the stand.
Alright, I see. So Diplomacy shouldnāt be an ability on anyone because Cult could have 2+ Apostles?
It would work on Aristocrat but that would just be buffing them for no reason. It would be better to just not have it.
