Italy can gain more information should his neighbours live for a while.
Also Italy cannot die by any method except airlock so him becoming infected would screw us.
Priority should be making sure Italy does not get infected due to the super protection on Italy’s own character.

Unless it physically changes Italy’s role since then it makes Italy vulnerable.
